There is also provided a sample processing system comprising the cartridge, and methods of use of the cartridge and processing system in a sample processing assay.
Sample container for stabilizing and aligning excised biological tissue samples for ex vivo analysis
Embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus for positioning and securing an excised biological tissue specimen for imaging and analysis. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a sample bag defining an inner volume configured to receive a biological tissue sample, and a sealing member coupled to the sample bag. An imaging window is disposed and configured to be placed in contact with at least a portion of the biological tissue sample, and a positioning member is coupled to the imaging window and is configured to be disposed against the sealing member to substantially seal the inner volume. The positioning member includes a vacuum port disposed and configured to be aligned with a vacuum source to withdraw air from the inner volume of the sample bag.
CARTRIDGE FOR SANDWICH ELISA PRE-LOADED WITH ANTIGEN CUSTOMIZED DETECTION REAGENT AND SANDWICH ELISA DEVICE USING THE CARTRIDGE
The present invention relates to a cartridge for sandwich ELISA pre-loaded with antigen customized detection reagent to more efficiently perform the sandwich ELISA and a sandwich ELISA device using the cartridge. A cartridge for sandwich ELISA according to the present invention is arranged in rows and columns, and includes a body in which wells accommodating reagents are formed, a pin-assy including pins that have a capture antibody coated on one ends thereof, and a provider that moves the pin-assy to provide the well with the pin to allow the reagents and the capture antibody to be into contact and react with each other.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SAMPLE ANALYSIS
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for sample analysis. The system comprises a container. The container comprises a sample receptacle and a cap, and the cap comprises a reservoir for retaining a composition, a first piercing member and a first pierceable barrier for sealing said composition within said reservoir. There is also provided a method for sample analysis.
DRY REAGENT CUP ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS
Dry reagent cup assemblies and methods are disclosed. In accordance with an implementation, an apparatus includes a liquid reservoir and dry reagent cup assembly. The liquid reservoir has a base, side wall that extends from the base, and distal opening. The dry reagent cup assembly coupled to the liquid reservoir includes a dry reagent cup and liquid impermeable barrier. The dry reagent cup has a cup base, cup side wall that extends from the cup base, and cup opening. The distal opening of the liquid reservoir faces the cup opening. The liquid impermeable barrier covers the cup opening and separates the liquid reservoir and the dry reagent cup. The dry reagent cup moves between an initial position outside the liquid reservoir and a rehydrating position where the dry reagent cup pierces and passes through an opening in the liquid impermeable barrier and is received within the liquid reservoir.
FILTER INSERT AND SAMPLE VIAL USING THE SAME
A filter insert, a sample vial incorporating a filter insert, a method of using a sample vial containing a filter insert for chemical analysis, and a sample vial kit including a filter insert. The filter insert includes a cylindrical body having a proximal end, a protrusion extending radially from the proximal end of the cylindrical body and configured to set on the open end of a sample vial, a distal end, a cavity extending longitudinally through the cylindrical body from the proximal end to the distal end, and a filter assembly coupled with the distal end of the cylindrical body.
Specimen sample collection device with buffer-containing cap
A specimen sample collection device is disclosed, the device including: a base having a neck extending therefrom, a film-puncture element disposed within the neck, and one or more fluid ports extending through the base within the neck; a cap engaged with the neck, the cap comprising a film attached about an inner cylinder of the cap along a periphery thereof; wherein the film defines a buffer-containing cavity within the cap, and wherein the buffer-containing cavity is configured to hold a preservation buffer for preserving a sample stored within a collection reservoir of the device.
Centrifugation method separating serum or plasma from whole blood using a specimen container having a cap to retain blood cells
A device and method for separating serum or plasma from blood cells in a whole blood specimen. The present invention uses a cap with a reservoir, such that blood cells are packed into the cap when the specimen container is centrifuged. When the cap is removed, the blood cells are also removed, and the serum or plasma is left in the specimen tube where it can be readily extracted by a pipette which is able to reach all the way to the bottom of the specimen tube minimizing the dead volume.
