The sample collection system can additionally include a selectively movable sleeve valve configured to associate with the opening of the sample collection chamber. The sample collection system can include a sealing cap that is configured to associate with the selectively movable sleeve valve and with the sample collection vessel. The sealing cap can include a reagent chamber having reagent(s) stored therein, and when the sealing cap is associated with the sample collection vessel, the selectively movable sleeve valve opens, dispensing the reagent(s) into the sample collection chamber. When the selectively moveable sleeve associates with the sample collection chamber, an outer sleeve slides relative to an inner vessel, opening the sleeve and dispensing reagent into the sample collection chamber.

Disclosed herein are cell processing systems, devices, and methods thereof. A system for cell processing may comprise a plurality of instruments each independently configured to perform one or more cell processing operations upon a cartridge, and a robot capable of moving the cartridge between each of the plurality of instruments.
Sample collection kit including cap having selectively movable sleeve
A biological sample collection system can include a sample collection vessel having a sample collection chamber with an opening configured to receive a biological sample into the sample collection chamber. The biological sample collection system can additionally include a selectively movable sleeve valve configured to associate with the opening of the sample collection chamber. The biological sample collection system can additionally include a sealing cap that is configured to associate with the selectively movable sleeve valve and with the sample collection vessel. The sealing cap can include a reagent chamber having reagent(s) stored therein, and when the sealing cap is associated with the sample collection vessel, the selectively movable sleeve valve opens, dispensing the reagent(s) into the sample collection chamber.
Test set for a photometric measuring device, and photometric measuring method for a sample liquid
The invention relates to a test set (1) for a photometric measuring device, comprising a mixing container (2) which has a filling opening (3) and comprising a metering container (8) which can be sealingly inserted into the filling opening (3) of the mixing container (2) and which contains a liquid reagent (13) in a closed cavity (9). The cavity (9) has a closure plunger (11), which can be moved axially in the cavity (9), at a first end of the metering container (8), said closure plunger generating a specifiable filling pressure in the reagent (13), and the metering container (8) has a closure membrane (10) at a second metering container and which can be inserted into the mixing container (2). According to the invention, the closure membrane (10) is equipped with a predetermined breaking point (20) which breaks open when the filling pressure is exceeded in a defined manner as a result of an axial movement of the closure plunger (11), said predetermined breaking point (20) of the closure membrane (10) being formed as a linearly extending material taper of the closure membrane (10), wherein the taper is arranged eccentrically in the region of an opening (24) in the base (23) of the substantially cylindrical metering container (8).
Biological fluids concentration assembly
A biological fluids concentration device, including a tube-in-tube assembly, is disclosed. The tube-in-tube assembly receives biologic fluids and may then be placed in the bucket of a centrifuge and spun to separate out the components of the biological fluid by their various densities. For example, whole blood may be centrifuged in the tube-in-tube assembly for separating into plasma, red blood cell component, and a buffy coat. A piston slideably and sealingly engages an inner tube of the tube-in-tube assembly, the inner tube fitting within an outer tube. A lid is designed to engage the top of the outer tube, which lid has an opening therein for receipt of a plunger. The plunger is adapted to move up and down with respect to the lid and the tubes, so as to sealingly, in a down position, and unsealingly, in an open position, engage the top of the inner tube of the tube-in-tube assembly.
FLUID HANDLING SYSTEM
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a fluid handling system that is capable of injecting a fluid into a desired chip or the like without using a large-scale device. In order to resolve the problem, this fluid handling system has a reservoir, a flow path chip, and a cap, one end of which is fitted to the internal opening of the reservoir and the other end of which is connected to an introduction port of the flow path chip, the cap having a through-hole that links the one end and the other end. In this fluid handling system, a protruding part provided to the flow path chip is fitted into the through-hole at the other end of the cap and restricts blocking of the through-hole when a fluid moves inside the through-hole of the cap.
Reagent container and automatic analysis apparatus
A reagent container used in an automatic analysis apparatus capable of preventing reagent in the reagent container from spattering out of the reagent container even when the reagent container with large capacity is rotated at a high speed and an automatic analysis apparatus using the reagent container are provided. A reagent container 12 for an automatic analysis apparatus has a first opening 27 used for sucking reagent and a second opening 28 used for the filling of the reagent. The second opening 28 is provided with an attachable/detachable lid 29. The lid 29 is provided with an air vent 33, a first shield plate 30 and a second shield plate 31 for preventing spattering of the reagent through the air vent 33 due to a wave motion of the reagent.
EASY TO USE LIQUID TESTING DEVICES
An easy to use test device for the testing of liquids comprising a primary chamber to receive an initial liquid sample and a multiplicity of secondary regions arranged to each receive an aliquot of the initial liquid sample from the primary chamber, wherein the test device is movable in use between two positions, a first position and a second position. The device is especially suitable for carrying out on-site microbial assays with a minimal requirement for user expertise and additional apparatus. The invention also provides related methods and apparatus.
Bubble eliminating structure, bubble eliminating method, and agitating method using the same
Provided are a bubble eliminating structure and a bubble eliminating method which eliminate bubbles in a liquid by agitating the liquid, and an agitating method using the same. A first groove 114, which is an upstream bubble eliminating groove, and a second groove 131, which is a downstream bubble eliminating groove, are branched from a mixing well 13. After starting suction of the liquid from mixing well 13 into the first groove 114, suction of the liquid from the mixing well 13 into the second groove 131 is started, and after completion of discharge of the liquid from the first groove 114 into the mixing well 13, discharge of the liquid from the second groove 131 into the mixing well 13 is completed. This operation is repeated to eliminate bubbles.
