A cognitive aid device is disclosed, including a shell configured as a plush toy and a management system located at least partially within the shell. The management system includes a control module, a position module, a communication module, a proximity module, and an audio/visual (A/V) module. The cognitive aid device is arranged and configured to execute the instructions, and executing the instructions includes the cognitive aid device prompting an individual using the cognitive aid to perform an exercise or other cognitive movement routine described by the cognitive aid device, monitoring the individual, processing data received, and providing responsive stimulus to the individual indicating successful completion of the exercise or other cognitive movement routine or further prompting the individual to perform the exercise or other cognitive movement routine. A method for assisting an individual with the exercise or other cognitive movement routine is disclosed including providing the cognitive aid device.

A stuffed toy comprises a body member including an outer layer comprising a waterproof fabric. The outer layer is partially filled with a resilient stuffing material sealingly disposed within the outer layer to provide a predetermined shape to the body member. A shell comprises a flexible fabric having an outer surface and an inner surface. The shell having an opening for receiving the body member through the opening such that the body member is substantially enclosed within and fills the shell, and the shell closely conforming to the body member. The body member is selectively insertable into, and removable from, the shell through the opening in order to provide a predetermined three-dimensional shape to the toy.

Some implementations of the present invention relate to systems and methods for diffusing scents to a given location by placing a scent reservoir within a vessel including an inner chamber, a vent, and a selectively closable opening. In some cases, the scent reservoir is secured within the vessel while allowing the desired aroma to diffuse into the surrounding area through the vent. In some cases, the inner chamber comprises a wall or layer that is less permeable to the scent than is the vent. Accordingly, in some cases, the inner chamber is configured to direct the scent from the scent reservoir to the vent, which is disposed at an outer surface of the vessel. While the vessel can be any suitable object, in some cases, it is a stuffed animal. Other implementations are also described.

A convertible garment adapted to be worn by a user including a hood portion and a body portion connected to the hood portion. The hood portion includes a space defined by a first layer and a second layer. The space facing surface of the first layer and the space facing surface of the second layer form a toy body configured for inversion by passing the toy body through the aperture resulting in a second space defined by the toy body. The toy body includes a first set of character features. A second surface of the first layer and a second surface of the second layer include a second set of character features that are adapted such that the user exemplifies the character represented by the first set of character features when the user is wearing the convertible garment and the hood portion is in the non-inverted state.

Creative play toys and play educational tools having a surface with at least one loop affixed to the surface and one or more extensions that can be releasably secured to the loop. The creative play toys and play educational tools can be components of creative kits and games. The play educational tools improve dexterity, fine motor skills and cognitive skills and teach by requiring the user to sort and match extensions to loops. Preferably the creative play toys include a plurality of loops mounted on the surface and a plurality of extensions that permit the user to create imaginative looks, structures, and designs.

A toy belt for stimulation and distraction of a baby during diapering. The belt includes a soft plush elongated belt element configured to snugly encircle and be fastened around a waist of the baby with engaged end fastening elements of hook and eye sections. The belt element has an outward surface section, when the heft is positioned on a stomach of the baby, having plush and hard pull toy elements which are capable of being manually manipulated by the baby are fixedly fastened. The belt and the toy elements are configured to be positioned on the baby whereby they do not interfere with diapering and feeding the baby. The toy belt further contains imbedded lighting and music elements activated by external compression switches.
