A detection cassette for detecting a sample is provided. The sample includes a first component and a second component. The detection cassette includes a sample injection hole, first and second separation tanks communicated with the sample injection hole, and first and second detection tanks communicated with the first and second separation tanks. A part of the sample enters the first separation tank from the sample injection hole and separated into the first component and the second component in the first separation tank. Another part of the sample enters the second separation tank from the sample injection hole and separated into the first component and the second component in the second separation tank. The first component separated in the first separation tank flows to the first detection tank and the second component separated in the second separation tank flows to the second detection tank for detections. A detection system is provided.

A sample analysis substrate includes a substrate; a first holding chamber; a reaction chamber; a first flow path having a first opening and a second opening respectively connected with the first holding chamber and reaction chamber; a main chamber; a second flow path having a third opening and a fourth opening respectively connected with the reaction chamber and the main chamber; and a magnet accommodation chamber capable of accommodating a magnet. The first opening is located closer to a rotation shaft than the second opening. The second opening is located closer to the rotation shaft than the third opening. The magnet accommodation chamber is located at a position at which, in the case where the magnet is accommodated in the magnet accommodation chamber, the magnet captures magnetic particles in the main chamber. The sample analysis substrate is rotatable to transfer a liquid.

A hand-held molecular diagnostic test device includes a housing, an amplification (or PCR) module, and a detection module. The amplification module is configured to receive an input sample, and defines a reaction volume. The detection module is configured to receive an output from the amplification module and a reagent formulated to produce a signal that indicates a presence of a target amplicon within the input sample. The present invention addresses the problem of providing a fluid handling system that is capable of injecting a fluid into a desired chip or the like without using a large-scale device. In order to resolve the problem, this fluid handling system has a reservoir, a flow path chip, and a cap, one end of which is fitted to the internal opening of the reservoir and the other end of which is connected to an introduction port of the flow path chip, the cap having a through-hole that links the one end and the other end. In this fluid handling system, a protruding part provided to the flow path chip is fitted into the through-hole at the other end of the cap and restricts blocking of the through-hole when a fluid moves inside the through-hole of the cap.

A modular device for treatment and/or analysis of substances comprises a supply device which supplies at least one functional fluid to at least one process device, wherein the supply device has multiple receiving means for receiving in each case one process device. The receiving means each have multiple supply ports, including an inflow supply port and an outflow supply port for transmission of a functional fluid. The process device has a functional region for the treatment and/or analysis of substances, a fluid line which encloses the functional region, and multiple coupling means for coupling to the supply ports of a receiving means. For each receiving means, a first valve device is provided in the region of the inflow supply port and a second valve device is provided in the region of the outflow supply port.

Rapid diagnostic test device by driven flow technology

A rapid diagnostic test device uses driven flow technology to significantly expedite the testing time of a sample. The rapid diagnostic test device can be used to analyze liquids, such as some body fluids, by using labeled molecular affinity binding, such as immunochromatography. The test device can detect an analyte, such as an antibody or antigen, which may indicate a particular condition, the presence of a particular drug, or the like. The device includes an inner member that receives the body fluid. Dripping holes in the inner member, or a sloped surface, creates a stream force of the body fluid against the sample pad of the test strip. A portion of the stream force of the body fluid is directed upward toward the conjugate pad to push the antibody/body fluid sample onto the membrane of the test strip.
