There is disclosed a crusher for crushing material into finer particulates, the crusher including a housing that encloses a crushing head mounted on a shaft. The housing supports an outer crushing shell, while the crushing head supports an inner crushing shell. The two crushing shells cooperate to form a crushing gap therebetween. The crusher further includes a drive mechanism joined to the shaft for generating movement of the inner crushing shell relative to the outer crushing shell. The drive mechanism includes at least three drive units joined to the shaft and configured to impart a pulling force on the shaft. Also disclosed is a method of operating the crusher, wherein each of the drive units are selectively activated and deactivated to selectively generate orbital or gyratory movement of the crushing head relative to the outer housing.

There is disclosed a crusher for crushing material into finer particulates. The crusher includes a housing enclosing a cone assembly comprising a crushing head mounted on a shaft. The housing supports an outer crushing shell, while the crushing head supports an inner crushing shell. The two crushing shells cooperate to form a crushing gap therebetween. A cam is provided on the shaft with the cam being located remote from the crushing head. A number of drive units extend between the cam and the housing, wherein each drive unit has a first end movably abutting the cam and a second end movably abutting a discrete spherically domed reaction seat provided on the housing. Each drive unit is a telescopic body with a bore extending therethrough so that hydraulic fluid injected into each bore applies a drive force onto the cam and the reaction seat to cause movement of the crushing head.

ANTI-SPIN DUST SEAL FOR CONE AND GYRATORY CRUSHERS

A dust seal for a cone crusher or gyratory crusher and a cone crusher or gyratory crusher are provided, wherein the crusher includes a stationary part having a dust collar, and a crusher head which is supported so as to be rotatable relative to the stationary part in a crushing direction of rotation and in an idling direction of rotation which is opposite to the crushing direction of rotation. The dust seal has a crusher head contact portion configured for directly or indirectly contacting the crusher head, and a dust collar contact portion configured for directly or indirectly contacting the dust collar crusher head. The dust seal is configured to impart a frictional force between the crusher head and the dust seal via the crusher head contact portion, and/or between the dust collar and the dust seal via the dust collar contact portion upon rotation of the crusher head at least in the idling direction of rotation. The invention is characterized in that the dust seal is configured so that the frictional force imparted by the dust collar contact portion and/or the crusher head contact portion is higher upon rotation of the crusher head in the idling direction of rotation than upon rotation of the crusher head in the crushing direction of rotation.

A gyratory crusher shell has an annular wall extending around a longitudinal axis. A plurality of ears project radially outward from an annular rim of the topshell with each ear including a respective lug to sit within a corresponding recess at an annular rim of the topshell to rotatably lock the crushing shell at the topshell.

Gyratory crusher spider arm shields

A gyratory crusher includes a spider supported at a top shell, the spider having a pair of spider arms protected by respective arm shields. The shields are mounted and dismounted at the respective arms via a locking flange and notch and lug arrangement to avoid attachment by welding or attachment bolts.

Apparatus and method for liner system

A liner system, adapted for use with a rock crusher having a support bowl and a concave ring. The liner system comprises a collet that is adapted to apply a force to the concave ring and a collet adjuster that is adapted to lower and raise the collet, in the preferred liner system, the concave ring is removably retained in the support bowl of the rock crusher by the liner system. A method for adjusting a collet comprising providing such a liner system and adjusting the collet adjuster so as to removably retain the concave ring.

A gyratory crusher and spider for use with the gyratory crusher. The spider includes a pair of spider arms extending from a center hub. Each of the spider arms includes a lower end having a pair of support wings extending in opposite directions from the lower end. The upper top shell of the gyratory crusher includes an upper flange having a generally planar top surface. A pair of seating segments are included on the top surface of the upper flange in spaced locations corresponding to the support wings of the spider arms. The seating segments each receive the support wings on the spider arms to provide a mount for the spider on the top shell. The portions of the upper flange not including the seating segments are planar, which reduces the height of the gyratory crusher.
