A process for producing a casing for a roller press for subjecting particulate matter to be ground to high pressure treatment, the casing having a profiling defined by profile comb, wherein the process includes the steps of casting a cylindrical hollow body and introducing axial longitudinal grooves onto the surface of the cylindrical hollow body. The material for casting is of a particular composition, where that composition includes, among other components, between 0.0012% and 0.0027%, by weight, of phosphorus (P).

A milling roll of a roll mill may have a roll main body and an edge element that is attached to an end region of a roll end of the milling roll and extends in a radial direction beyond a surface of the roll main body. The edge element comprises a base flange and a spacer element that is attached thereto. Wear protection elements can be attached to the spacer element. Furthermore, a roll mill may have a first milling roll and a second milling roll that are arranged opposite one another and can be driven in opposite directions. A milling gap is disposed between the milling rolls, and an edge element on one of the milling rolls may extend over the milling gap and at least partially cover an end side of the opposite milling roll.

Roller and Replaceable Surface Segments for Roller
The present invention relates to rollers subjected to wear conditions and surface reinforcements for such rollers. More specifically, the present invention relates to the orientation of projections on the rollers or surface segments of such rollers. In one embodiment, the roller includes a hub. The roller also includes a plurality of removable surface segments attachable to the hub so as to form a layer around the hub. Each surface segment has two opposed sides and an exterior surface. The spacing between projections across the exterior surface decreases from each of the opposed sides to an intermediate point between the opposed sides.

Provided are a combined roller sleeve, a method for preparing the combined roller sleeve, and a press roller. The combined roller sleeve includes a first roller sleeve and a second roller sleeve that are separately formed and connected to each other. Connected end surfaces of the first roller sleeve and the second roller sleeve each have a notch in a circumferential direction. The notches are formed as a groove at a connection between the first roller sleeve and the second roller sleeve. First hard studs are embedded in the groove. Gaps between the first hard studs and between each of the first hard studs and a wall of the groove are filled with metallic surfacing layers.

The machine comprises: a support arrangement (20) configured to support a tyre (14) and a shaft (12) on which the tyre is mounted for angular displacement about a longitudinal axis of rotation, and a stud insertion arrangement (22), at least part of which is displaceable relative to a tyre supported on the support arrangement, and which is configured to insert studs into holes in the tyre.

Roller crusher and a method for operating the same
A roller crusher having two parallel rollers that rotate in opposite directions and are separated by a gap. At least one of the rollers has a flange at an end thereof. The roller crusher includes a material removal device having a rotatable cutter unit with a plurality of cutter elements arranged tangentially about the rotatable cutter unit at a radial distance from a rotational axis for the rotatable cutter unit. A rotation device rotates the rotatable cutter unit at an end of a roller having a flange. When the cutter unit is rotated by the rotation device, the cutter unit at least partially cuts away material accumulated on the flange and/or on the envelope surface at an end portion of the roller adjacent the flange. Each cutter elements presents an impact surface that faces the material to be cut away and is a polycrystalline diamond (PCD).
