PULVERIZER WITH OUTPUT FLOW CONTROL AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING OUTPUT FLOW IN A PULVERIZER

A pulverizer comprising: a housing having top and bottom ends, an inlet located towards the top end for receiving input material to pulverize and an outlet located towards the bottom end for discharging pulverized material from the housing, the housing including a housing sidewall defining an interior chamber and having a central housing axis: a rotatable shaft extending along the central housing axis: a plurality of rotor hub assemblies mounted to the shaft, each rotor hub assembly including a rotor hub and a plurality of rotor arms extending outwardly from the rotor for forming an airflow revolving about the central housing axis within the interior chamber, wherein at least one of the housing and of one or more of the rotor hub assemblies is selectively reconfigurable between a plurality of configurations to adjust at least one parameter of an output flow of the pulverized material at the outlet.

ROTOR ASSEMBLY FOR A PULVERIZER AND PULVERIZER COMPRISING THE SAME

A rotor assembly for a pulverizer, the pulverizer including a housing and a rotatable shaft rotatably mounted in the housing, the rotor assembly comprising: a hub mountable on the rotatable shaft; a plurality of rotor arms extending outwardly from the hub for pulverizing material received in the housing when the rotatable shaft is rotated; wherein the hub including a plurality of hub sections connectable together to form the hub, the hub sections being separable from each other and movable radially outwardly away from the rotatable shaft.

APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF WORT

An impact mill-includes a casing enclosing a milling chamber; at least one rotor, impacting elements driven in rotation by the rotor; wherein the casing has an inlet for the raw material and an outlet for the milled material, and wherein the casing is equipped with water injectors.

PULVERIZER SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PULVERIZING MATERIAL

A pulverizer for reducing a size of input material particles having a housing, a rotatable shaft with rotor arms and at least one airflow deflector cooperating with the rotor arms to deflect airflow within the pulverizer so as to form at least two overlapping vortices within the interior chamber such that input material particles in suspension in both overlapping vortices collide with each other to be thereby pulverized. The pulverizer also having a housing liner including a plurality of housing liner portions attached to and extending along a outer structural wall of the housing. The pulverizer also having a housing sidewall having an outer structural wall with a plurality of wall sections. The pulverizer also having canted rotor arms and rotor arms with removable wear pads. An anti-caking device for a vessel such as a pulverizer is also provided.

Hammer for shredding machines

Shredder hammers having first and second major surfaces on opposing sides, and a circumferential edge. A mounting portion includes a mounting hole that extends from the first major surface to the second major surface, and is configured to receive a hammer mounting pin for mounting in a reducing system. The circumferential edge includes a primary impact face to initially impact materials to be reduced and a wear edge to subsequently crush and shear the material against a wall of the equipment. The hammer is biased forward on the pin to admit more material to be crushed between the wear edge and the grates.

VERTICAL SHAFT IMPACTOR

A vertical shaft impactor includes an impacting assembly that is configurable in a number of different ways, depending on the material to be processed by the impactor.

A comminution mill is described that includes a vertically oriented cylindrical housing with an intake chute in a top wall and an outlet chute in a bottom wall thereof. A rotatable shaft with a plurality of radially extending cables is disposed coaxially within the cylindrical housing. A plurality of studs extends inwardly from the wall of the housing to slow and collect materials flowing through the comminution mill. The studs can be withdrawn to discharge materials collected thereon. Slits are provided in the walls of the housing to enable the exit of particulate materials from the housing. A hood is provided overlying the slits on the exterior of the comminution mill for collecting the particulate material. Operation of the comminution mill provides a self-generated airflow and can be configured to separate, grind, and dry materials disposed therein.
