A method for operating the device (1a . . . 1i) is also described, in which an air stream is aligned with the transfer opening (A). The strength and/or the direction of the air stream is adjusted or controlled as a function of a load on the extruder (4).

A food waste disposer comprising a chamber for accommodating food for disposal; a deodorization device for deodorizing gas and discharging same to the outside; and a cover member for covering the chamber. The cover member includes a fan, which is arranged to face the inside of the chamber so as to generate, when being driven, a convection current inside the chamber; and a discharge pipe arranged such that a discharge port formed at a first end portion is arranged on outside a path of upward flow of air such that the upward flow of air bypasses the fan, and a second end portion, which is opposite to the first end portion, is connected to the deodorization device.

The enclosure may also include a cover positioned above the cylindrical body. The cover may have a curved surface. Additionally, the enclosure may include an inlet channel formed through the cover, where the inlet channel may be in fluid communication with the internal cavity of the cylindrical body, and an outlet channel formed through the cover, adjacent the inlet channel. Furthermore, the enclosure may include a base component positioned within the internal cavity of the cylindrical body, opposite the cover, the base component having a curved surface, a journal opening formed through the cylindrical body between the cover and the base component, and a journal opening cover coupled to the cylindrical body. The journal opening cover may cover the journal opening.
