In a process for transforming waste material into useful material, a quantity of waste material such as household garbage or municipal solid waste is provided. The waste material is pre-shredded into pre-shredded waste material. The pre-shredded waste material is processed to at least partially remove one or more selected material components, thereby providing a processed pre-shredded waste material. The processed pre-shredded waste material is then secondarily shredded into secondarily shredded waste material which is then hydrolyzed under pressure greater than ambient pressure to create an aggregate cellulose pulp.

Reactor for separation of sodium chloride and potassium chloride from polymineral sources and method thereof

The present invention relates to sylvinite ore processing in the extraction industry and provides a resource-efficient method of separating potassium chloride and sodium chloride from polymineral sources comprising potassium chloride and sodium chloride and a vertical three-zone reactor for separating potassium chloride and sodium chloride from polymineral sources comprising potassium chloride and sodium chloride.

FLOTATION CELL
20180272360 · 2018-09-27 ·

THIS invention relates to froth flotation, and more specifically to a froth flotation cell and an internal sand removal arrangement for the froth flotation cell. The froth flotation cell included a tank having an operatively lower zone, an intermediate zone and an operatively upper zone, and a central dispersing chamber disposed in the intermediate zone of the tank. A slurry inlet is located in the operatively lower zone of the tank, and a slurry outlet conduit extends from the operatively upper zone of the tank towards a slurry outlet. The froth flotation cell is characterised in that the operatively lower zone is also selectively in flow communication with the slurry outlet of the tank, in order for slurry located in the operatively lower zone of the tank selectively to be displaceable into the slurry outlet.

Method and apparatus for flotation in a fluidized bed

Separation of hydrophobic particles from a mixture of particles in a fluid is performed by providing a fluidized bed as a relatively non-turbulent contacting mechanism in a flotation cell incorporating a settling chamber located immediately above the fluidized bed. Hydrophobic particles attach to bubbles in the fluidized bed and rise to the interface with the settling chamber where non-hydrophobic particles flow over the lip of an internal launder and are removed as tailings at. The hydrophobic particles attached to bubbles float upwardly in the relatively placid settling chamber where unwanted gangue can fall back to interface. The bubbles form a froth layer at the upper surface of the settling chamber, and flow over the launder lip carrying the hydrophobic particles. An operation of the apparatus is kept stable by recirculating fluid from the settling chamber via pip and pump to mix with new feed entering at duct.

A nanoflotation system used to separate suspended solids or large settling or floating solids from water, waste water or liquids. This is accomplished through the use of submerged membranes, in combination with a number of design components comprising froth flotation, gravity settling, pre coating of the submerged membranes, spacing, of the membranes to facilitate flotation of solids to the surface or to the bottom of the containment chamber holding the submerged membranes, and membrane structures which use large diameter hollow fiber or tubular membranes and/or large pore opening membrane materials.
