A SEPARATOR ASSEMBLY FOR A SUCTION CLEANING APPARATUS

A cyclonic separator assembly having a first end, a second end, and an inlet for receiving a flow of dirty air. A separation chamber receives dirty air from the inlet and includes an air flow outlet formed within the separation chamber configured such that air is drawn through the outlet in a direction generally towards the first end of the separator assembly. The chamber further includes a dirt outlet defining an opening in a wall of the separation chamber. The assembly further includes a passage defining an air flow path from the air flow outlet towards a separator outlet in a direction generally towards the second end of the separator assembly such that, in use, the separator outlet is adapted to communicate with the suction inlet of the cleaner body so as to draw dirty air into the separator assembly.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a cyclone chamber having a cyclone bin assembly comprising a cyclone chamber positioned in the air flow path, the cyclone chamber has a cyclone air inlet, a cyclone air outlet, a cyclone chamber front end, a cyclone chamber rear end, a cyclone chamber sidewall extending between the front and rear ends of the cyclone chamber and a cyclone axis of rotation that extends in a forward/rearwards direction. The front end of the cyclone chamber has a front height in a direction transverse to the cyclone axis of rotation that is less than a rear height of the cyclone chamber in the direction transverse to the cyclone axis of rotation.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus having an upright section moveable relative to a surface cleaning head between a storage position and a rearwardly reclined floor cleaning position. The upright section comprising a removable hand vacuum cleaner. The hand vacuum cleaner is operable in a first mode of operation in which the surface cleaning apparatus is operated to clean a floor, the inlet of the hand vacuum cleaner is in flow communication with the surface cleaning head air outlet and the air treatment member of the hand vacuum cleaner is operable to treat air drawn in through the dirty air inlet of the surface cleaning head. The hand vacuum cleaner is also operable in a second mode of operation in which the hand vacuum cleaner is operable to directly clean a floor or the air inlet of the hand vacuum cleaner is directly connected to the downstream end of an accessory tool.

Cyclone separator and cyclone separation method

The present disclosure provides a cyclone separator and a cyclone separation method. The cyclone separator includes a shell and a core tube. An upper end of the shell is provided with a gas inlet. A lower end of the shell is provided with a shell outlet. An opening at a lower end of the core tube is provided inside the shell. The lower end of the core tube is provided with a baffle structure, and at least a portion of the baffle structure extends vertically. By providing the baffle structure, the present disclosure can cut off the flow path of the short-circuit flow and the radially centripetal moving gas flow such as the centripetal flow in the particle spiral band area, weaken the short-circuit flow, the inner vortex flow and the precessing vortex core, thus improving separation efficiency of fine particles with particle diameters of 1 m to 10 m.
