Suction apparatus
A suction apparatus includes a housing, at least one cyclone chamber, a collection container configured to as to be releasably connectable to the housing, and having a filter element. The suction apparatus further includes at least one positioning device within the cyclone chamber and configured for positioning at least one collection element within the cyclone chamber.
Cyclonic separation device
A cyclonic separator device for removing dust or debris from dirt-laden air, the device having a separating chamber, an inlet, an outlet, and a shroud that is connected to the separating chamber at one end, and provides a plurality of openings for the passage of air to the outlet. The device further includes a dirt collection chamber in communication with the separating chamber. The separating chamber includes an airflow directing formation which is connected to an inner surface of a generally cylindrical portion and which extends inwardly towards a central axis of the generally cylindrical portion. The airflow directing formation provides a surface which follows a substantially helical path that extends away from the inlet as it extends circumferentially around the inner surface of the generally cylindrical portion.

MONOLITHIC DUST SEPARATOR
Monolithic dust separation devices are disclosed to enable separating and collecting dust particles. The devices include a vacuum port and a cyclone chamber that are connected by a tube between the vacuum port and an upper end of the cyclone chamber. On the cyclone chamber there is an input port for connecting to a flexible hose for ingesting the dust particles. The devices also include a dust receptacle having a top upper surface and a port cover on a port formed in the upper surface for emptying the receptacle of collected dust particles and a lower portion of the dust receptacle that is integrally formed into the upper surface of the dust receptacle. The top upper surface slants downward from the cyclone chamber to the port cover.
Surface cleaning apparatus, cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same
A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air treatment member having an air treatment chamber. A moveable member is positioned in the air treatment chamber. A handle is drivingly connected to the moveable member by a driving linkage wherein part of the driving linkage extends through a slot in the sidewall of the air treatment member, whereby the moveable member is longitudinally translatable through at least a portion of the chamber.
