APPLICATOR FOR APPLYING AN APPLICATION AGENT
20250360529 · 2025-11-27 ·

An applicator for applying an application agent (e.g. sealant, insulating material) to a component (e.g. motor vehicle body component). The applicator having a mounting flange, in particular for mounting the applicator on an application robot, a plurality of nozzles for emitting a respective jet of the application agent onto the component, wherein the nozzles are each designed as a separate component, and an applicator head at the distal end of the applicator, wherein the applicator head includes a respective nozzle holder for mounting the individual nozzles. The individual nozzles are each mounted directly in the associated nozzle holders of the applicator head.

Damage tolerant cavitation nozzle

A cavitation nozzle is disclosed, including a plate, a hollow body, and a cap removably engaged with the hollow body and holding the plate against a distal end of the hollow body. The plate may have a central aperture and a distal surface, wherein the distal surface is bisected by a groove and the hollow body is configured to deliver high pressure fluid through the central aperture. The delivered high pressure fluid may be discharged as a cavitating jet.

Process for Spraying a Band of Foam and Dispensing Nozzle Therefore

A process for spraying a band of foam of desired width on a surface, comprising a) providing a pressurized source of foamable material b) dispensing onto a surface a fan spray of the foamable material from a dispensing nozzle, and c) moving the dispensing nozzle perpendicular to the centerline plane of the fan spray to form the band of foam; wherein the dispensing nozzle comprises an exit orifice connected to a fan spray tip, the fan spray tip having a transverse slot in the exit face of the dispensing nozzle formed from spray-limiting walls, the transverse slot having a curved vertex end having vertex and an exit face end, and wherein the exit orifice has a dimension L parallel to the transverse slot; the facing surfaces of the spray-limiting walls are set apart a dimension of W, with W less than or equal to dimension L; the transverse slot having an overall depth D measured from the exit face to the vertex of the transverse slot, and the ratio of D:W is 0.30 to 2.40.

Foam nozzle spreader tip

Disclosed herein is an article used as a foam nozzle spreader tip. The article is brass or stainless steel and has a first surface, a hollow space removed from the first surface, first and second screw holes through the article and the first surface but not touching the hollow space, and a third screw hole through the article touching the hollow space. The hollow space has a half-cylinder region and a rounded trapezoidal prism region.

FLAT JET NOZZLE ARRANGEMENT

A flat jet nozzle arrangement is provided, including a liquid nozzle part for dispensing a fan-shaped liquid jet defining a jet plane and a jet guidance part, and wherein the jet guidance part includes a through-channel having a liquid receiving portion, which receives the liquid jet and which is adjoined by a liquid dispensing portion that widens in the jet plane, and wherein the flat jet nozzle arrangement includes at least one air intake opening, which is in flow connection with the liquid receiving portion. In order to further develop the flat jet nozzle arrangement so that the ambient air impairs the liquid jet to a lesser extent, the liquid dispensing portion includes a longitudinal region, which extends at least over a portion of its total length and in which the liquid dispensing portion narrows perpendicularly to the jet plane with increasing distance from the liquid receiving portion.
