A FLUID HANDLING STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR A GAS PHASE DEPOSITION APPARATUS
A fluid handling structure for a gas phase deposition apparatus, the structure defining a flow path with an inlet and an outlet for transmitting pressurized fluid from said inlet to the outlet, wherein the structure includes an elongated slit and a series of nozzles through which pressurized fluid is allowed to enter the elongated slit, the inlet being upstream the series of nozzles, and wherein the outlet is formed downstream at a gap opening of the elongated slit allowing pressurized fluid to discharge from the elongated slit towards a substrate, wherein the series of nozzles are configured to provide a larger flow resistance than the elongated slit, and wherein the series of nozzles are adapted to form a series of jet flows directed towards one or more impingement surfaces of the structure when pressurized fluid is transmitted through the flow path.
SPRINKLER RISER EXTENSION KIT
A sprinkler riser extension kit elevates a pop-up sprinkler that has a riser and a head detachable from the riser. The kit includes a gripping head having a channel extending therethrough, and a riser extension configured to slide within the channel and having a length corresponding to the length of the channel. The lower end of the gripping head is configured for attachment to the sprinkler, e.g., by a plurality of flexible pawls spaced evenly about the lower end, or alternatively to an upper portion of an identical gripping head. The riser extension includes means for attachment between the sprinkler head and the sprinkler riser. To elevate the sprinkler, the head is detached, the riser passed through the gripping head, the riser extension attached to the riser, the head attached to the riser extension, and the gripping head attached to the top of the sprinkler. Gripping heads and riser extensions are stackable atop one another, to enable elevation of the sprinkler head in multiple stages.
Microfluidic delivery device for dispensing and redirecting a fluid composition in the air
A microfluidic delivery device is provided. The microfluidic delivery device includes a housing electrically connectable with a power source. A cartridge is releasably connectable with the housing. The cartridge has a reservoir for containing a fluid composition and microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir. The microfluidic die is configured to dispense substantially all of the fluid composition in an upward direction relative to horizontal. The microfluidic delivery device also includes a fan that is connected with the housing. The fan is configured to generate air flow that converges with and redirects the fluid composition dispensed from the microfluidic die in a first direction to a second direction that is different from the first direction.
Nozzle tips with neck portions for reduced cleaning times
The invention relates to nozzle tips including a nozzle body and a tip portion, configured to minimize the accumulation of a resin on the nozzle tip as it is dispensed through the nozzle tip. The nozzle tip can contain a central flow channel and an internal portion that branches and guides the resin into multiple exiting flow channels that define tangential pathways to the outer surface of the nozzle tip. The nozzle tip can include grooves that define extended, sharply angled flow paths for the resin. Nozzle tips can have a neck portion separating a nozzle body and a tip end of the nozzle tip; here, a doughnut-shaped space located around the neck portion can be defined by the base of the nozzle, the crown of the nozzle, and the neck portion, for encouraging turbulent flow of the resin to scour the nozzle tip during dispensing.
Water deflection tool
A water deflection tool has a deflection plate with an inner surface and an outer surface that extend to a perimeter, the deflection plate having a height and a width that are adapted to catch and deflect the stream of water. A distal end of an elongate extension arm is fixedly attached to the outer surface of the deflection plate, the elongate extension arm further having a proximal end. The proximal end has a hitch mounting component that is adapted to attach to the vehicle.
Systems and methods of low clearance storage fire protection
A fire protection system includes a plurality of fluid distribution devices coupled to the fluid supply pipes to define four fluid distribution devices above a floor. The fluid distribution devices generate a spray pattern overlapping one another to define a rectangular fluid distribution area 2.5 ft. The rectangular area having a first pair of edges extending parallel to the fluid supply pipes and a second pair of edge extending perpendicular to the first edge. The fluid distribution devices are axially aligned above a corner of the rectangular area, the fluid distribution area defined by a grid of one square foot areas totaling an area no more than 12 ft.×8 ft., the rectangular area of fluid distribution having a total fluid density of at least 60 gpm/sq. ft., the rectangular area including a first zone of fluid distribution of a 4 ft.×4 ft. area.
FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR SLOPED COMBUSTIBLE CONCEALED SPACES
A fire protection system is provided for a space having a pitched roof constructed of structural members extending from a ridgeline to an eave, with respective channels therebetween. A first row of sprinklers is mounted to a first branch line extending generally parallel to the ridgeline. Each sprinkler is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive sprinklers spaced apart having no less than one, and no more than five, channels therebetween. A second row of sprinklers, downslope from the first row, is mounted to a second branch line extending generally parallel to the first branch line. Each sprinkler thereof is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive second row sprinklers spaced apart as in the first row. Each second row sprinkler is also placed within a different channel from each first row sprinkler. A farthest number of channels between a first row sprinkler and a second row sprinkler is three.
Liquid Stream Shaping Device
A device for shaping a pressurized liquid stream, the device including: (a) a conduit, adapted for intake and transmission of a liquid stream; (b) a shaping piece configured to shape the liquid stream into a liquid shield, the liquid shield resulting from the liquid stream impacting on the shaping piece. In some embodiments, the device further includes: (c) a lateral displacement mechanism adapted to adjust a distance between the conduit and the shaping piece.
MICROFLUIDIC DELIVERY CARTRIDGE FOR USE WITH A MICROFLUIDIC DELIVERY DEVICE
A cartridge that is releasably connectable with a housing of a microfluidic delivery device is provided. The cartridge has a reservoir for containing a fluid composition and a microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir.
