AUTONOMOUSLY ACTING ROBOT THAT PERFORMS A GREETING ACTION
Empathy toward a robot is increased by the robot emulating human-like or animal-like behavior. A robot includes a movement determining unit that determines a direction of movement, an action determining unit that selects a gesture from multiple kinds of gesture, and a drive mechanism that executes a specified movement and gesture. When a user enters a hall, an external sensor installed in advance detects a return home, and notifies the robot via a server that the user has returned home. The robot heads to the hall, and welcomes the user home by performing a gesture indicating goodwill, such as sitting down and raising an arm.
Religious speaking teddy bear
A religious speaking teddy bear including a stuffed animal assembly, an attachment assembly and an electronic assembly. The stuffed animal assembly includes a movable mouth. The movable mouth moves to emulate speaking. The attachment assembly includes attachments to illustrate the ten commandments. The attachments can be attached to the stuffed animal assembly. The electronic assembly includes buttons and a speaker. The buttons can be depressed to actuate the speaker to recite the ten commandments and the movable mouth to emulate speaking. The electronic assembly is inside the stuffed animal assembly.
PAPAYA MOSAIC VIRUS COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF FOR STIMULATION OF THE INNATE IMMUNE RESPONSE
The use of compositions comprising a papaya mosaic virus (PapMV) moiety for stimulation of the innate immune response is provided. The PapMV moiety may be papaya mosaic virus or PapMV virus-like particles (VLPs). The PapMV compositions stimulate a sufficiently strong innate immune response to provide protection against subsequent pathogen challenge or to treat an established infection. The use of PapMV compositions to protect a subject from potential infection by a pathogen, such as a viral pathogen, a bacterial pathogen or a fungal pathogen, and the use of PapMV compositions to treat an established infection, are also provided. The PapMV compositions be administered, for example, via intranasal or pulmonary routes to elicit effects within the mucosa and/or in the respiratory system.
INTERACTIVE DOLL STRUCTURE
Disclosed is an interactive doll structure including a head portion, a body portion and a host. The head portion has at least a moving mechanism and at least a reader. The body portion is connected to the head portion and has at least another moving mechanism and at least another reader. The host is electrically connected to the moving mechanisms of the head portion and the body portion for controlling the movement of the moving mechanisms, and also electrically connected to the readers of the head portion and the body portion for controlling the head portion and/or the body portion to generate a corresponding operating mode when at least one of the readers reads an identifying tag from the outside.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A communication device includes a display provided in a face portion; an environment information acquisition unit that acquires environment information being information about an environment around the communication device; a gaze motion generation unit that generates a gaze motion of the communication device to be expressed in the face portion, the gaze motion corresponding to the environment information acquired by the environment information acquisition unit; a feeling generation unit that generates, according to a predetermined generation rule, a feeling of the communication device to be expressed in the face portion; and an integration unit that displays on the display an image of an eye expressing the gaze motion generated by the gaze motion generation unit and the feeling generated by the feeling generation unit.
Wirelessly Communicative Cuddly Toy
A wirelessly communicative cuddly toy including a stuffed animal toy having a motorized, articulated robotic interior member disposed therein surrounded by flocculent stuffing material. The robotic interior member includes a transceiver wirelessly communicable by NFC protocol with any appropriate peripheral device. An articulated head member is disposed upon the robotic interior member and configured to animate a mouth of the stuffed animal toy when a speaker, disposed to play audio signals relayed by the transceiver, is activated. Audio executed on the peripheral device is thus playable through the speaker on the robotic interior member and the articulated head member animates the stuffed animal toy in simulation of verbal communication with a user.

ROBOT, ROBOT CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A robot includes a coupler coupling a first part to a second part; a driver driving the coupler; a sound outputter that outputs a sound; and at least one processor. The at least one processor, upon detection of a predetermined trigger, controls at least one of the driver or the sound outputter so that the robot executes a first action set so that action content changes in accordance with pseudo-growth of the robot, and a second action set so that a change of the action content according to the pseudo-growth does not occur and also set so that the action content varies due to a difference in an individuality of the robot.
INTERACTIVE TOY
The present disclosure generally relates to an interactive toy that includes an eye, a sensor and a controller. In some implementation examples, the sensor generates an electrical signal in response to a contact applied on the sensor by a user. In response to receiving the electrical signal generated by the sensor, the controller causes the eye open to a certain degree.
Animatronic doll
An animatronic doll having a motor, a head frame pivotally mounted to a neck carrier, a bevel gear and a pinion gear connected to a head shaft, a first gear, and a second gear. The pinion gear is engaged with a rack of the head frame. The first gear is configured to be driven by the bevel gear and is rotatable between a first position, a second position, and a third position. The first gear does not drive the second gear when the first gear is rotated between the first position and the second position. The first gear drives the second gear when the first gear is rotated between the second position and the third position. Rotation of the head shaft rotates the pinion gear and pivots the head frame. Rotation of the second gear may rotate arms of the doll. The arms may include friction clutches.
