SELF SEALING JETTING VALVE

An apparatus for use in marine platform jacking is disclosed herein. In one aspect, a jetting valve includes a valve body with a piston assembly disposed therein. The piston assembly is selectively operated to open and close the valve. A biasing member is coupled to the piston assembly. The piston assembly includes a first piston and a second piston. The dual pistons, in cooperation with the biasing member, allow the valve to self-seal thereby preventing entry of a fluid which is external to the valve.

A bracket assembly for an integrated LIDAR and camera-based sensing system is provided. The bracket assembly can be mounted to a LIDAR sensor and includes a camera housing. The bracket assembly also includes a plurality of liquid spray nozzles and a plurality of air blower ducts. The plurality of liquid spray nozzles discharge a cleaning liquid (e.g., washer fluid) toward the exterior surface of the LIDAR sensor and the camera sensor, and the plurality of air ducts discharge compressed air toward the exterior surface of the LIDAR sensor and the camera sensor. The liquid spray nozzles and the air ducts cooperate to clear foreign matter from the LIDAR sensor and the camera sensor despite being close to the edge of each such sensor.

Method and arrangement for maintaining fluid flow pressure in a system at a preset, almost constant level
10289128 · 2019-05-14 · ·

A method and arrangement for maintaining fluid flow pressure in a system at a preset, almost constant level. A method for maintaining fluid flow pressure almost constant regardless of mass flow. The arrangement including a pressure accumulator, and a nozzle valve. The nozzle valve having a valve body and axially oriented needle for opening and closing the mouth of its outflow channel. The needle shaft guided by a slide element mounted inside the valve body. The inflow into the flow body passes to the other side of the slide element through one or several channels. The needle moves axially to open and close the channel because of the forces acting upon it. Forces acting upon it may include the accumulator, the inflow and a spring. The needle's movement adjust the cross-sectional area of the outflow channel mouth not disposed by the needle head to maintain an almost constant pressure.

Dual cone spray nozzle assembly for high temperature attemperators
10288280 · 2019-05-14 · ·

A spray nozzle assembly for a steam desuperheating or attemperator device. In one embodiment, the spray nozzle sub-assembly of the spray nozzle assembly comprises a fixed nozzle element which is integrated into a spring-loaded nozzle element, and is specifically adapted to improve water droplet fractionation at higher flow rates while further providing an effectively higher spray area through the formation of two water cones (rather than a single water cone), such water cones being sprayed into a flow of superheated steam in order to reduce the temperature of the steam. In another embodiment, the spray nozzle sub-assembly of the spray nozzle assembly comprises a nested pair of spring-loaded primary and secondary nozzle elements which are also adapted to provide an effectively higher spray area through the formation of two water cones.

Fluid-operated nozzle

A nozzle for spraying a pressurized liquid. The nozzle is adapted for processing a pressurized liquid through an orifice of the nozzle, where the pressurized liquid forces a nozzle member away from a seat. The nozzle member is moved by the pressurized liquid against a counterforce produced by a gas pressure. Gas pressure operates against a plunger to produce a force acting on the nozzle member in opposition to the liquid pressure. A desired upstream pressure of the pressurized liquid is established when the forces across the movable nozzle member are balanced. A desired upstream pressure of the pressurized liquid can be changed by changing the pressure of the gas that forces the plunger against the movable nozzle member.

Orbital sprinkler with speed control brake

A sprinkler head includes a sprinkler body, a nozzle positioned within the sprinkler body, a fixed gear coupled with the sprinkler body, a wobbler cage supported on the sprinkler body, and a water deflector plate coupled with the wobbler cage and disposed downstream of the nozzle. A brake assembly is coupled with the water deflector plate for slowing a rotating and wobbling motion of the wobbler cage and the water deflector plate. The brake assembly includes a shaft extending through the water deflector plate and a brake gear disposed at an end of the shaft, where the brake gear is engageable with the fixed gear. Among other advantages, the design eliminates the use of large fixed strut framework that creates dry shadows in the water pattern.

Pressure regulating nozzle assembly with flow control ring

An irrigation sprinkler and sprinkler nozzle assembly including a self contained pressure regulator and flow control ring, which can be assembled with a desired spray deflector, shrub bubbler or rotating stream distributor on the top of the nozzle assembly. The pressure regulator housing is incorporated into the center of the nozzle assembly and includes a reference pressure chamber connected to atmospheric pressure with a spring bias enclosed to bias a pressure responsive movable member that is connected to an upstream pressure balanced flow throttling valve. A combination deflector pop-up pressure regulating mechanism housed in the filter of the nozzle housing assembly is also shown.
