A rotary nozzle assembly has a hollow nozzle body fastened to a high pressure hose, a tubular shaft rotatably carried in the hollow nozzle body, and a head member fastened to the tubular shaft. The head member has a rounded nozzle head portion and a threaded tubular portion and a central blind bore concentric with the central axis of the tubular shaft. The rounded nozzle head portion has a first lateral port passing from the central blind bore through a side of the rounded nozzle head portion at an offset from the central blind bore. This causes an unbalanced motion of the nozzle assembly on the high pressure hose while the tubular shaft rotates with the head member within the hollow nozzle body. This causes the rotary nozzle assembly, when inserted within a pipe, to follow an orbital path around the inside of the pipe.

The head includes jets that expel liquid at a pressure of at least 1000 psi to clean material from a wall of a tube and/or rotate the head relative to the body about a longitudinal axis. The channels are operable in an evacuation mode in which a portion of liquid is conveyed through the channels away from the head toward the proximal end to prevent and/or impair hydraulicing of the nozzle in the tube when the nozzle encounters a blockage within the tube. Related methods of use of the nozzle also are provided.

In one aspect, a device for creating an illusion of rotary pyrotechnics includes at least one nozzle configured to rotate about an axis of the device and spray water in a radial direction while rotating. The device can also include a water supply configured to provide the water to the at least one nozzle and a lighting system configured to illuminate the water sprayed from the at least one nozzle to create an illusion of rotary pyrotechnics.

In one aspect, a device for creating an illusion of rotary pyrotechnics includes at least one nozzle configured to rotate about an axis of the device and spray water in a radial direction while rotating.
