Nozzle head and rotary atomizer having such a nozzle head
A nozzle head for a rotary atomizer for applying a coating material to an object includes a rotary bell, which is rotatable about an axis of rotation and has a breakaway edge and a discharge surface to which the coating material can be supplied in such a way that the coating material is spun off from the breakaway edge of the rotary bell. Coating material can be supplied to the discharge surface via a flow path. The flow path is divided in a delivery region into sub-paths, each having a delivery opening which is arranged eccentrically to the axis of rotation of the rotary bell and from which the coating material, which arrives from there at the discharge surface, can be delivered. A rotary atomizer having a nozzle head of this type is also described.
SPREADER
A spreader for spreading a material including at least one pair of rotating discs having a plurality of generally radially oriented blades attached thereon for disbursing the material in a pre-selected pattern. The discs are rotatably positioned below an end of a funnel unit to receive material passing through the funnel units. The material, as it passes through the funnel units, is directed to a predetermined impact region on each of the rotating discs by a corresponding pair of deflecting vanes integrally fit and movably attached within each funnel of the pair of funnel units. Each deflecting vane is selectably movable by a corresponding actuator from a first position to a second position while the spreader is operating.
PROCESS FOR REDUCING BUILD UP OF A WATER INSOLUBLE COMPOSITION IN A CENTRIFUGAL ATOMIZER
The invention relates to a process for spraying an emulsion of water insoluble composition, such as an emulsified resin, with a centrifugal atomizer. The centrifugal atomizer comprises a housing, a rotary disc provided in a recess of the housing. An emulsion of a water insoluble composition is supplied to a chamber or formed in the atomizer, the chamber being formed between a front face and a cone of the rotary disc. A mist of air and an aqueous liquid is sprayed in the recess of the housing. The mist flushes the atomizer and limits or avoid water insoluble composition build-up. The invention also relates a centrifugal atomizer system adapted to perform such process.
PAINTING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SAME
The present invention relates to a painting method and a rotating atomization type painting device. On an inner surface of a bell cup constituting the rotating atomization type painting device are formed a first paint diffusion unit positioned on the inside in the radial direction and a second paint diffusion unit positioned between the first paint diffusion unit and a peripheral edge part. The first paint diffusion unit has a convex shaped curved surface extending toward the center of rotation of the bell cup, whereas the second paint diffusion unit has a concave shaped curved surface extending away from the center of rotation. The diameter of the bell cup is set at 75-150 mm, and the speed of rotation of the bell cup is set at 8000-30000 rpm.
Harmonic balancer for spray dryer absorber atomizer
A fluid type, gel/wax/paraffin type, or mechanical type harmonic balancer for built-in or retrofit use with an atomizer of a SDA flue gas desulfurization system for reduced atomizer vibration within or outside of the atomizer's harmonic range is provided herein. Also provided, is a method of using the built-in or retrofit harmonic balancer with an atomizer of a SDA flue gas desulfurization system to decrease atomizer vibration within or outside the atomizer's harmonic range, to increase atomizer on-line service hours, decrease atomizer maintenance requirements, and to decrease atomizer associated costs.
ROTATING DISK ATOMIZER WITH TREATMENT FLUID FEED ARRANGEMENT
A rotary atomizer is disclosed for the even distribution of a treatment fluid within a treatment chamber. The treatment fluid is delivered onto a rotating disk atomizer through multiple outlet ports. Fluid passages provide each outlet port with an even flow of treatment fluid at generally the same time and rate. This even and simultaneous flow of treatment fluid results in a more even distribution of treatment fluid on the seed that flows through the treatment chamber throughout the treatment cycle.
