An electrostatic spray dryer for drying liquid into powder including an elongated cylindrical drying chamber having an electrostatic spray nozzle at an upper end and a powder collection vessel at a lower end. The powder collection vessel includes a removable and replaceable filter collections sock made of filter material for receiving and collecting dried powder from the drying chamber. For cleaning residual powder from an inside wall of the drying chamber, a scraper member is provided that is coupled by magnetic attraction to a manually removable driver on the external surface of the wall.

The invention related to a device (1) for spraying charged droplets of a liquid towards a target along a spraying direction, comprising: a reservoir (10) for storing the liquid (L), a first electrode (100) being arranged at an outlet (11) of said reservoir (10), a second electrode (200) forming a counter electrode to the first electrode (100) for accelerating said droplets (D) along the spraying direction (S), and a housing (30) holding the reservoir (10) as well as said electrodes (100, 200).

The present invention relates to a method and device for increasing the quantity of electric charges in a chemical solution of an electrostatic sprayer. The method uses a liquid storage cavity of the electrostatic sprayer and an electrostatic module for generating static electricity. The liquid storage cavity is divided into a charging cavity and a chemical solution supply cavity. The charging cavity is isolated from the chemical solution supply cavity. An electrostatic output electrode of the electrostatic module applies static electricity to a chemical solution in the charging cavity in a static state so that the chemical solution carries a high content of electric charges. After the chemical solution carried with a high content of electric charges is sprayed out, the chemical solution in the chemical solution supply cavity is supplied into the charging cavity, so that the sprayed chemical solution is allowed to carry a high content of electric charges by charging static electricity to a small amount of the chemical solution in a stepped manner. In the method and device for increasing the quantity of electric charges in a chemical is solution of an electrostatic sprayer provided by the present invention, without changing the capacity, the quantity of electric charges in a part of the chemical solution in the liquid storage cavity is increased, the quantity of electric charges in the sprayed chemical solution is thus increased, and the absorption effect of the chemical solution is improved.

An electrostatic atomizer (100) includes: a spray electrode (1); a reference electrode (2); a current control section (24) for controlling a value of a current flowing through the reference electrode (2); and a voltage application section (22) for applying a voltage across the spray electrode (1) and the reference electrode (2), based on the value of the current controlled by the current control section (24), the reference electrode (2) having a tip whose shape has a specific curvature radius.

Each emitter among the array of emitters can be implemented as a cone-shaped emitter. The array of emitters can be implemented as a cone jet electrospray micro-array that can produce a high liquid concentration of the charged droplets in the carrier gas. The charged droplets can comprise charged fountain solution droplets, and the charge image can be a fountain solution image that can be transferrable to a blanket for control and subsequent ink transfer to a receiving medium.

An electrostatic spray device, comprising: an electrostatic spray main body capable of containing a liquid containing portion of a cartridge, the cartridge including the liquid containing portion that contains a liquid and a spray unit that sprays the liquid, the electrostatic spray device spraying the liquid by the electrostatic spray main body applying a voltage to the liquid, in which the cartridge has conductivity in at least one portion of the liquid containing portion, and the electrostatic spray main body includes a high-voltage generating unit which generates a high voltage, and a contact portion which is in contact with the portion having conductivity of the liquid containing portion contained in the electrostatic spray main body and applies the high voltage to the liquid in the liquid containing portion through the portion having conductivity.

A fluid sprayer includes a pump and an electrostatic module configured to provide an electrostatic charge to spray fluid. The electrostatic module is electrically connected to a conductive component of the fluid sprayer, such as a fluid displacement member, fitting, cylinder, or spray tip, to charge the spray fluid via the conductive component. The fluid is electrostatically charged prior to exiting the fluid sprayer.
