A system and method for providing an electrostatic sprayer nozzle assembly for dispensing a fluid in a stream of charged particles. The nozzle assembly includes an interior chamber, a nozzle opening on the rear side for receiving a nozzle therethrough, an electrode within the interior chamber for providing a charge to the fluid particles, and a visor connected to an outer surface configured to redirect lost fluid that collects on the outer surface of the assembly back into the fluid stream.

Described are an apparatus for generating and collecting nanospray reactive droplets and a method for analyzing a protein digestion. The apparatus includes a capillary, counter electrode, collection vessel, electrostatic lenses, and voltage control module. The capillary receives a mixture that includes a protein and an enzyme and has an outlet disposed in the aperture to dispense the mixture. The collection vessel has a concave surface to receive a nanospray plume emitted from the capillary outlet. The counter electrode and electrostatic lenses are disposed along a nanospray path defined between the capillary outlet and the collection vessel. Each electrostatic lens is formed of an electrically conductive plate having an aperture therein to pass a nanospray reactive plume. The voltage control module is in electrical communication with and is configured to independently control the voltage of the capillary, the counter electrode, the collection vessel and each of the electrostatic lenses.

An electrostatic spray device includes an electrostatic mixing chamber and an electrode pair in the electrostatic mixing chamber. The electrostatic mixing chamber receives an airflow that is driven by a fan of the electrostatic spray device. The electrostatic mixing chamber also receives a flow of fluid from a reservoir of the electrostatic spray device. The electrode pair is configured to apply electrostatic charge to droplets of the fluid suspended in the airflow. A voltage level of the electrostatic charge is adjustable responsive to a first DC output from a first DC convertor. A flow volume of the fluid from the reservoir is adjustable responsive to a second DC output from a second DC convertor. In some cases, a control unit of the electrostatic mixing device modifies the first or second DC outputs based on a target level of the voltage level or the flow volume.

An inductive electrostatic atomization nozzle includes a nozzle body. The nozzle body has an internal gas flow channel and a liquid flow channel surrounding the internal gas flow channel. An electrode ring is arranged around the liquid flow channel at an inlet of the liquid flow channel. In the inductive electrostatic atomization nozzle, the electrode ring is arranged at the inlet of the liquid flow channel, which ensures that the electrode ring is located far away from the outlet of the inductive electrostatic atomization nozzle.

A powder discharge device includes a powder thin flow pump for delivering powder, particularly coating powder, from a powder reservoir to a powder spray device, with a control device being integrated in the powder discharge device, which control device is designed to adjust at least one parameter, which is characterizing in relation to a spray coating process performed with the powder spray device and/or in relation to a powder delivery performed with the powder thin flow pump, the control device forming a structural unit with the powder thin flow pump.

An associated spray system includes a tank mounted to the flying portion and configured to store a cleaning spray, at least one spray mechanism in fluid communication with the tank to discharge the cleaning spray, and at least one electrostatic generating unit configured to apply a voltage across a spray path of the cleaning spray, so that the spray is electrostatically charged. At least a portion of the at least one extension is coated or shielded by nanotube particles.

A voltage assisted painting system includes a housing, at least one nozzle, and at least one electrode. The housing has a conduit for receiving paint from an external source into the housing. The at least one nozzle is disposed in the housing. The at least one nozzle has an inlet that is fluidly connected to the conduit to receive paint from the conduit. The at least one nozzle has an outlet that dispenses paint. The at least one electrode is provided at the housing at a location downstream of the inlet with respect to the conduit. The at least one electrode is configured to generate a magnetic field in the vicinity of the outlet.

The angle adapter according to the invention for a powder spray device comprises an upstream housing, which has an upstream powder channel, a connection to the powder spray device, and a longitudinal axis, about which the housing can be rotated. The powder spray device additionally comprises a pivot body comprising a downstream powder channel, which connects to the upstream powder channel The pivot body can be pivoted about a pivot axis, whereby the pivot axis runs obliquely to the longitudinal axis.
