A device for the powder coating of objects includes a main body on which an electrode arrangement designed for producing a powder cloud is arranged and on which a metering device is arranged above the electrode arrangement and is designed for the controlled discharge of an amount of a powder onto the electrode arrangement. A powder coating installation is equipped with at least one such device for powder coating.

An agricultural product delivery applicator for delivering particulate product to a field. The applicator includes a supply compartment to hold the product, a pneumatic conveying system, a metering system, and a controller. The pneumatic conveying system includes first delivery line operably connected to an airflow source and to the supply compartment, and a second delivery line operably connected to the airflow source and to the supply compartment. The metering system includes a first metering device associated with the first delivery line and a second metering device associate with the second delivery line. The controller controls the air flow source, the first metering device to meter product to result in a first mixed flow of airflow and product for the first delivery line, and the second metering device to meter product with the airflow to result in a second mixed flow of airflow and product for the second delivery line.

A powder layer composite includes a base and a powder layer having a thickness of 100 μm or less and disposed on the base. An average of a total value of a number of powder aggregates having a long diameter of 500 μm or greater and a number of pinholes having a long diameter of 500 μm or greater, in any of a plurality of different regions of 20 mm×20 mm on a surface of the powder layer, is 0.2 pieces/cm.sup.2 or less.

Systems and methods for application of stress corrosion cracking resistant cold spray coatings include a method of forming a partial coating on a canister having a perimeter wall with a surface. The method may include identifying a compromised region on the surface of the wall of the canister, and impacting a substantially linear flow of particles of a powder against an area in the compromised region of the surface in a manner effective to cause the particles of the powder to bond to the surface of the wall to produce a coating on the area of the compromised region. The method may also include moving the substantially linear flow in a direction substantially parallel to the surface of the wall to cause the particles to impact an additional area of the compromised region to cause the particles to bond to the surface of the additional area.

An automatic dry material dispenser for dispensing dry material such as fertilizer to pots or other containers passing by on a conveyor. The device is controlled by a photo-detector or mechanical switch to dispense material when the container is in the proper position. The device consists of a material reservoir, a flexible feed hose, a pipe and elbow which can be pivoted by an electric solenoid and electronics for control. As the pipe and elbow are pivoted to a stop by the solenoid material is expelled from the elbow and down into the passing pot. The amount of material dispensed is controlled by an insert-able cylinder and by selecting the number of dispensing cycles per pot.

A powder feeding apparatus drops powder from a tank storing the powder to an oblique portion, and accumulates the powder on a plate disposed below the oblique portion. The plate is provided with a flat surface portion and a groove portion which is inverted from the flat surface portion to a lower part. The scraper moves powder which has accumulated to a higher level than a constant height on the flat portion and the groove portion, to an outer-side of the flat portion and smoothes the powder on the flat portion and the groove portion to a constant height. An ejector takes in powder which has accumulated on the groove portion of the plate by a suction opening, disposed at a front side of the scraper, in a relative moving direction of the plate, and discharges the powder from the discharge opening.

Systems for shredding fibrous material are described. In some embodiments, the system includes a cart that includes a hopper that includes an auger motor for shredding fibrous material and a blower motor configured to blow the shredded fibrous material onto structures for fireproofing. The cart may include a handle, one or more wheels, and/or forklift apertures to aid in transport.
