Wet abrasive blasting system and method
10076823 · 2018-09-18 · ·

Wet abrasive blasting systems are described that have a slurry piping system and a gas piping system that have pipes and other piping components, such as valves and regulators, that have a more consistent internal cross-sectional area than conventional wet abrasive blasting systems. The more consistent flow area provides astonishing improvements in blasting efficiency and consistent and predictable slurry flow rates.

Powder supplying device and electrode manufacturing apparatus

A powder supplying device (2) includes a case (6) in which a storage portion (6a) is formed for temporarily storing powder (10), the case (6) having an inlet (6b) formed in an upper end of the storage portion (6a), and a rectangular outlet (6c) formed in a lower end of the storage portion (6a); a rotor (7) that is arranged in the case (6) and transports the powder (10) in the storage portion (6a) to the outlet (6c) by rotating; and a mesh body (8) through which the powder (10) that has been transported to the outlet (6c) passes. The powder supplying device (2) supplies the powder (10) onto an upper surface of an electrode foil (5). The rotor (7) has a brush-like shape, with a plurality of hair members (7b) radially implanted pointing radially outward with an axial center (G) of the rotor (7) as the center.

Composite structure formation method using pre-formed controlled particles formed of fine particles non-chemically bonded together
10046344 · 2018-08-14 · ·

A composite structure formation method includes the steps of storing a plurality of pre-formed controlled particles in a storage mechanism, supplying the controlled particles from the storage mechanism to an aerosolation mechanism constantly, disaggregating the supplied controlled particles into a plurality of the fine particles in the aerosolation mechanism to form an aerosol in which an entire contents of the controlled particles including the fine particles are dispersed in the gas; and spraying all of the fine particles in the aerosol toward the substrate to form a composite structure of the structure and the substrate. The controlled particles are controlled so that bonding strength between the fine particles includes a mean compressive fracture strength sufficient to substantially avoid disaggregation during the supply step, but which permits the controlled particles to be substantially completely disaggregated in the disaggregation step.

TEXTURE SPRAYER BAG ROLLER EXTENSION
20180208367 · 2018-07-26 ·

An extendable bag roller for supporting a bag of material during removal of the material from the bag includes a bag support having a curved surface configured to support the bag of material on the curved surface and a roller that rolls along the curved surface of the bag support to squeeze the material out of the bag. The bag support includes a base defining a first portion of the curved surface of the bag support and an extension defining a second portion of the curved surface of the bag support, the extension being moveable to selectively increase and decrease the area of the curved surface of the bag support to accommodate different bag sizes.

DRONE DISPENSING DEVICE
20180201372 · 2018-07-19 ·

A dispensing device for connection to a drone is provided. The dispensing device has an outer housing and an inner housing interior of the outer housing. The inner housing has an inner cavity having an entrance opening and an opposing exhaust opening. The area between the outer housing and the inner housing defines an outer cavity adapted to hold a material. The dispensing device also has a fluid access opening to provide fluid access between outer cavity and the inner cavity to allow material in the outer cavity to be transferred to the inner cavity and mixed with air to create an air and material mixture. An air accelerator is provided adjacent the inner cavity to accelerate the air and material mixture out of the dispensing device.

COLD SPRAY SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE TAILORED FEEDSTOCK CARTRIDGES

A feedstock cartridge for a cold spray system including at least one powder; and a binder that interconnects at least two particles of the at least one powder.

MIXING NOZZLE UTILIZING TANGENTIAL AIR FLOW
20180185796 · 2018-07-05 ·

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a mixing nozzle, system implementing the mixing nozzle, and corresponding method of use. The mixing nozzle includes a housing defining a mixing chamber that has a sidewall separating a first end from a second end. A set of tangential feed conduits, which are oriented tangentially to the mixing chamber, extend outwardly from the mixing chamber, through the housing. An outlet orifice is located in the second end, which is one end of an exit channel extending through the housing.

Wet powder manufacturing apparatus and wet powder manufacturing method

A wet powder manufacturing apparatus includes a housing being arranged such that a central axis CL of the cylindrical inner surface extends in a substantially horizontal direction, a plurality of stirring blades provided rotatably about the central axis CL, a rotary plate configured to rotate the stirring blades about the central axis CL such that the wet powder accumulated at the bottom of the cylindrical inner surface is scooped by the stirring blades and then dropped, a driving device configured to impart a rotary force to the rotary plate, a liquid diffusing device configured to diffuse liquid into the drum inner space so as to wet the powder, and a controller configured to control operations of the driving device and the liquid diffusing device. The controller includes control for vibrating the stirring blades.
