Conveying device for the conveying of coating powder, powder center with the conveying device, and method for the cleaning of the powder center
A conveying device is provided for the conveying of coating powder and includes a powder reservoir container that includes, on the bottom, a powder outlet channel. The powder outlet channel is connected to a first powder conveyor for conveying powder out of the powder reservoir container back to a powder storage container. Moreover, a second powder conveyor is provided for conveying powder out of the powder reservoir container to a powder applicator.
Powder-dispensing device and powder-coating installation for spraying articles with a powder coating
A powder-dispensing device in the form of a dense-phase powder pump or of a powder injector is provided to deliver coating powder from a powder reservoir to a powder-spraying device. To make the spray coating operation easier for the customer and to be able to make it more cost-effective, without having to compromise on good coating quality and good coating efficiency, a control device is integrated in the powder-dispensing device or is connected, in particular directly, to the powder-dispensing device and is designed to establish at least one parameter that is characteristic of a spray coating procedure carried out with the powder-coating device.
Dense phase pump with easily replaceable components
A dense phase pump has two housings that are attached together using a single releasable fastener. The fastener can be released to allow the two housings to be separated thereby providing access to replaceable components. The replaceable components may include one or more pinch valves or one or more barrier elements. A pinch valve for a dense phase pump has a shape or profile for aligning the pinch valve when the pinch valve is installed in a pinch valve body. The pinch valve optionally has two end flanges, with each end flange having a shaped periphery. The two end flanges may have the same size and shape so that the pinch valve can be installed in either of two orientations that are inverse. A dense phase pump has a pump chamber that can be purged by purge gas that enters the pump off-axis from a purge path axis.
Dense phase pump diagnostics
A diagnostic apparatus for a powder coating material pump. The diagnostic apparatus includes a detector that uses pressure or flow to detect a fault in the pump, the diagnostic apparatus being external the pump, internal the pump or a combination of external and internal the pump. Another diagnostic device is provided for a powder coating material pump, and includes a light source in close proximity to the pump, the light source having an on condition and an off condition wherein one or both of the on condition and off condition provides information about the pump performance. An exemplary pump is a dense phase powder coating material pump.
Closed concentrated dry chemical dispersion system and method
A closed concentrated dry chemical dispersion system including a closed ingredient container having a volume of dry ingredient therein. The system provides a fluid container and a mixing chamber in which the dry ingredient and fluid can be mixed to form a formulation for delivery to a device such as agrochemical dispensing equipment. The system minimizes worker exposure to the chemicals and enables lower packaging and transportation costs.
MULTICOLOR POWDER CENTER FOR SUPPLYING AT LEAST ONE POWDER SPRAYING DEVICE WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF COATING POWDER AS REQUIRED
A multicolor powder center is disclosed for supplying at least one powder spraying device with different types of coating powder as required. The multicolor powder center has a first powder container for receiving a first type of coating powder, at least one second powder container for receiving a second type of coating powder, and at least one pump unit comprising at least one powder pump. The pressure side of the at least one powder pump is fluidically connected or can be fluidically connected to the powder inlet of a powder spraying device. The at least one pump unit and/or the powder container can be moved relative to each other such that the suction side of the at least one powder pump is fluidically connected or can be fluidically connected either to the interior of the first powder container or the interior of the at least one second powder container as required.
MULTICOLOR POWDER CENTER FOR SUPPLYING AT LEAST ONE POWDER SPRAYING DEVICE WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF COATING POWDER AS REQUIRED
A multicolor powder center is provided for supplying at least one powder spraying device with different types of coating powder as required. The multicolor powder center has at least one powder container for receiving coating powder and at least one pump unit comprising at least one powder pump, in particular a dense flow pump or a diluted flow pump. The pressure side of the at least one powder pump is fluidically connected or can be fluidically connected to the powder inlet of a powder spraying device. The pump unit is paired with a docking unit, via which the suction side of the at least one powder pump can be fluidically connected to the interior of the powder container as required.
Method for operating a dense phase powder pump and dense phase powder pump
The invention relates to a dense phase powder pump and a method for operating a dense phase powder pump in a powder-conveying mode. In order, in a simple manner, to prevent or at least reduce powder accumulations and clogging with powder, in particular on the powder inlet side of the powder conveying chamber of the dense phase powder pump, and thus in the region of the powder inlet valves, according to the invention, during a predefined or specified time period in at least one output phase and preferably at the end time of the output phase of a powder cycle, at least one of the following conditions exists: i) the powder inlet valve of the dense phase powder pump is open; ii) the powder outlet valve of the dense phase powder pump is closed; and/or iii) the application of an overpressure to the powder conveying chamber of the dense phase powder pump is interrupted.
MULTICOLOR POWDER CENTER FOR SUPPLYING AT LEAST ONE POWDER SPRAYING DEVICE WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF COATING POWDER AS REQUIRED
A multicolor powder center supplies at least one powder spraying device with different types of coating powder as required. The at least one powder container has at least one suction channel which is preferably formed in a suction pipe and which has a suction opening that opens into the interior of the powder container and an opposite discharge opening that opens into a connection, wherein the suction side of the at least one powder pump can be fluidically connected to the connection of the powder container.
Active surge chamber
An active surge chamber for use in a paint supply system comprising a paint channel, a fluid chamber connected to a pressurised fluid supply, a diaphragm, a spring, and means responsive to movement of the diaphragm for effecting connection and disconnection of the pressurised fluid supply to the fluid chamber and for relieving pressure of fluid in the chamber. The paint channel is sealingly separated from the fluid chamber by the diaphragm. The spring has a spring rate such that the force exerted on the diaphragm by the spring restricts movement of the diaphragm over a selected range of pump outlet pressures in order to attenuate the movement of the diaphragm and reduce the susceptibility of the system to unwanted oscillation. Pressure fluctuations in a paint flow induced by usage of a reciprocating pump upstream of the active surge chamber are minimised.
