FILTERING FLUID DISPENSING DEVICE
A fluid dispensing device has a spool valve in a dispenser housing with a spool in a spool housing and a spool wall around the spool housing with entrance and an exit openings defined therethrough; an entrance channel in the dispenser housing proximate to the spool wall entrance opening; a force applying element in the entrance channel that applies force against the spool wall with entrance and exit ends with the exit end proximate to the spool wall; a hose adapter fitting with an entrance end extending out from and an exit end extending into the entrance and contacting the force applying element with a flow passage extending through it; and fluid communication through the hose adapter fitting flow passage through the force applying element and into an entrance opening in the spool wall; where the force applying element defines a tortuous path through which fluid must travel.
Thin Film Aliphatic Polyurea and System
A thin film that is a result of polyaspartic secondary aliphatic diamines reacted with a low viscosity aliphatic polyisocyanate is provided. A unique feature of the films is the ability to tailor the dry time of this coating. Methods for making the film use a plural component spray machine that has an atomizer and a fluid housing connected to two pressurized and heated component tanks. A polyaspartic ester containing resin and aliphatic polyisocyanate mix through high pressure impingement within the spray machine. A reactant mixture exits the spray machine via the atomizer and forms a film on a surface that is tack free in about 5 minutes.
PUMP CHANGEOVER ALGORITHM FOR SPRAY SYSTEM
A method of actuating a double-action pump assembly with a reciprocating plunger includes signaling the reciprocating plunger to stop for a changeover period; while the pump is stopping, signaling the first inlet and outlet valves to close; while the first inlet and outlet valves are closing, signaling the second inlet and outlet valves to open, such that the second inlet and outlet valves begin to mechanically open at least a dwell period after the first inlet and outlet valves have entirely closed; and signaling the reciprocating plunger to begin moving while the second inlet and outlet valves are closing.

and wherein the second pressure-regulating valve (4) is in fluid communication with said nebulizing means (8), and is configured to pressurize the gas at a second pressure that is greater than atmospheric pressure.
MIX ON DEMAND SPRAYER
A sprayer system includes a diluent tank, a mounting bracket mounted to the diluent tank and a concentrate tank mounted to the mounting bracket and diluent tank. A mixing manifold is mounted to the mounting bracket and has a first inlet fitting to receive a fixed amount of diluent and a second inlet to receive a liquid concentrate. The diluent and concentrate are then combined to form a mixed solution. The mixing manifold includes an outlet. A positive displacement pump is mounted to the mounting bracket and has a suction port fluidly coupled to the mixed solution outlet. A pressure port may fluidly couple with a spray device. The second tank may be separable from the first tank and mounting bracket without requiring removal of the mixing manifold or positive displacement pump.
Systems for applying roadway surface treatments, and methods of using same
Systems and methods for applying roadway surface treatments. The system has an aggregate application assembly and a resin application assembly that are mounted or otherwise secured to a truck or other vehicle. The resin application assembly is spaced from the aggregate application assembly in the direction of travel of the vehicle. As the vehicle moves along a roadway surface, the resin and aggregate can be continuously applied such that the aggregate is provided to portions of the roadway surface that have been covered with resin.
MIXER, AIR CAP, AND MIX CHAMBER ASSEMBLY FOR A PLURAL COMPONENT SPRAYER
A mixer (46) for a plural component sprayer is configured to receive first and second component materials and emit a spray of a resulting plural component material. The mixer includes a contoured seal head (120) that is configured to interface with a contoured chamber within a receiver to form a fluid-tight seal therebetween. The mixer receives individual component materials through inlet bores (50a, 50b) formed through the mixer. The component materials mix within a mix bore (52) of the mixer to form a plural component material that is emitted as a spray from an orifice (54) formed in the mixer.

A coating comprises a resin solution including a solution of neoprene latex and liquid asphalt emulsion and an accelerator solution including an aqueous solution of zinc sulfate powder and water. A spray system for applying the coating includes a spray gun having first and second nozzles, a first pump fluidly connected between the first nozzle and a resin solution reservoir for delivering the resin solution to the first nozzle at a first fluid pressure, and a second pump fluidly connected between the second nozzle and an accelerator solution reservoir for delivering the accelerator solution to the second nozzle at a second fluid pressure different from the first pressure. The accelerator solution may be aerated by a source of compressed air prior to discharge from the second nozzle.
