A foamed bitumen dispensing device may include a body having a chamber and a bore fluidly connected to the chamber. The chamber may include an inlet for receiving bitumen. The foamed bitumen dispensing device may further include a valve fluidly connected to the bore. The valve may have a movable valve member including an opening for dispensing bitumen. The foamed bitumen dispensing device may also include a plunger configured to extend through the opening in the valve member.

The delivery-side flexible barrier is sealed to the delivery-side rigid portion and is oriented adjacent to the gas-side flexible barrier. The gas cell is coupled to the gas-side rigid portion of the gas chamber. The gas cell increases a gas pressure within the gas chamber to expand the gas-side flexible barrier. Expansion of the gas-side flexible barrier applies a compressive force to the delivery-side flexible barrier allowing a delivery material to escape from the delivery chamber.

The combination of a container of a first volume and a fluid containment and dispensing apparatus includes a flexible bag having an inner wall, an outer wall and a collar. The collar comprises a plurality of components, including a collar body, a flange that is attached to the bag, and a top plate having a first aperture therein configured to for connection to a first fluid carrying conduit, the fluid carrying conduit providing for egress of fluid from the bag. The container comprises walls the walls having inner and outer surfaces, and the collar body extends from a wall of the container. The container provides at least one second aperture providing for ingress and egress of fluid to and from a space situated between the outer surface of the bag and the inner surface of the container and the apparatus further comprises a fastener, such as a clamp, to fasten the collar components together.

An air-tight second reservoir has a flexible wall that defines a variable inner space with one or more second openings. The second reservoir is arranged within the first reservoir and stores fluid reagent. A closure element completely fills the first opening of the first reservoir and includes a first fluid passage fluidly connecting the inner space of the first reservoir, as the waste reservoir, to receive waste liquid. Second fluid passages fluidly connect the second openings of said second reservoirs with respective reagent inlets to supply fluid reagent to the sample analyzer. The inner space of the first reservoir further includes an air passage to allow gaseous communication with the ambient environment to maintain a controlled pressure within said inner space while receiving waste liquid.

A conveying device for conveying a viscous material from a container includes a follower plate that can be inserted into the container, and a pump by means of which the viscous material can be conveyed through the follower plate. Moreover, a measuring chamber for accommodation of a measuring sample of the viscous material is provided. The measuring chamber includes a closable material inlet opening for this purpose. A closable disposal line leads away from the measuring chamber. Moreover, a closable material return line extends from the measuring chamber via the follower plate into the container. The conveying device also includes a controller that is designed and can be operated appropriately such that it determines the compressibility of each of multiple measuring samples. The controller opens the disposal line or the material return line to the measuring sample present in the measuring chamber as a function of the compressibility thus determined.

A liquid-filled cartridge also is disclosed for use with an electronic device for delivery of a substance into a body through respiration includes a liquid container; and a liquid contained within the container for aerosolizing and inhaling by a person using the electronic device. The liquid includes a plurality of nanoparticles in a nanoemulsion, the nanoparticles including the encapsulation of the substance to be delivered into the body through respiration. The nanoemulsion preferably is produced using a microfluidizing machine.
