Inverted squeeze foamer

A foamer for use in dispensing a liquid product with a foam consistency includes a top cap, a closure, a housing, an air-flow diaphragm, a mesh screen and a valve structure. The closure includes a portion which is received by the cap and these two (2) cooperate to define a foam outlet. The housing is assembled into the closure and the diaphragm is assembled into the housing. The mesh insert is positioned adjacent the foam outlet. The valve structure is provided in two (2) embodiments, one being a duckbill valve with a corresponding holder and the other being a metering valve with a corresponding holder.

The medium chamber is a sealed chamber having a variable volume, and the dispenser module is coupled to the storage container to fill the medium chamber. During filling, the inlet valve and the outlet valve are opened such that the medium chamber communicates with the storage container. The actuating device has a magnet and a magnetic or magnetizable element interacting therewith for a volume change of the medium chamber. The actuating device causes a volume of the medium chamber to be enlarged to produce a differential pressure between the medium chamber and the storage container to convey medium out of the storage container into the medium chamber.

Exemplary embodiments of energy efficient foam pumps and dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary foam dispenser included a housing, a reservoir for holding a foamable liquid, a motor, a motor shaft, and a turbine air pump. The turbine air pump is connected to the motor shaft. A cam is also attached to the motor shaft and is used for driving a liquid pump. Liquid from the liquid pump and air from the turbine air pump are mixed in a mixing chamber and dispensed through an outlet nozzle. The touch-free foam dispenser further includes a sensor for sensing an object, circuitry for receiving a signal from the sensor indicative of an object being present and circuitry for energizing the motor to dispense fluid in the form of a foam.

As the valve needle floats up and down in the water outlet hole, the clearance passage between the valve needle and elastic body opens or closes, while the spray hole clearance between the elastic body and the piston cavity closes or opens as corresponding to the deformation of the elastic body.

A spray device has a spray nozzle unit (1), wherein said spray nozzle unit (1) comprises a cavity (5) with an inlet (2) for receiving a pressurized liquid at an operating pressure and an outlet (3) for releasing a liquid spray during operation. A spray nozzle body (10) is fitted sealingly within said cavity (5), having a perforated nozzle layer (14) with at least one spray orifice (16) that extends between an upstream surface and a down stream surface thereof releasing at least one jet of said liquid spray at said downstream surface of said nozzle layer. The spray nozzle unit (1) is provided with a pressure safety device (30) upstream of said spray nozzle body (10). Said pressure safety device (30) comprises a closed burst layer (34) that closes a fluid pathway between said inlet (2) and said spray nozzle body (10) but ruptures once a threshold pressure is exceeded. Said operating pressure exceeds said threshold pressure.

A spray device includes a first spray tip having a first fluid pathway defining a first flow area, and a second spray tip includes a second fluid pathway that defines a second flow area that is larger than the first flow area of the first spray tip. The first and second spray tips are side-by-side and spaced from one another at a distal end of the spray device. When a first fluid having a volumetric flow rate is introduced into the first spray tip and a second fluid having the same volumetric flow rate is introduced into the second spray tip, the first fluid will flow through the first fluid pathway at a greater velocity than the second fluid will flow through the second fluid pathway.

A spray cap for a spray container includes a tubular wall for connection to the spring container, a cap plate in which a plurality of spray slits is formed and a valve to admit air into the space defined by the wall but which prevents the outflow of liquid from the space to the exterior. The cap plate includes a support plate of polymeric material in which an aperture is formed. An insert of more resilient polymeric material is retained in the aperture and forms a liquid-tight seal with the support plate. The spray slits are formed in the insert. The support plate and the insert define a liquid flow path between the space and the spray slits and include respective opposed annular sealing areas which are situated upstream of the spray slits and are biased into contact with one another by the resilience of the insert. When the spray cap is inverted and an increased pressure is produced in the space the pressure acts on the insert and the insert is thereby caused to deform such that the sealing areas move out of sealing contact and liquid can flow to the spray slits.

The locking connection is provided by two radially outwardly protruding locking beads, which are spaced apart from one another in the vertical direction. The locking beads are designed with an insertion rounding on the reservoir side and with a substantially horizontal contact surface with respect to the longitudinal section on the head piece side.
