The cartridge includes at least two fluidically separated chambers which each contain at least one component of the medicament, an actuating mechanism for fluidically connecting the chambers and mixing the components for the dispensing of the medicament A method for preparing a medicament composed of a plurality of components in a cartridge for the dispensing of said medicament by way of a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, where a plurality of fluidically separated chambers of the cartridge are fluidically connected, and a component of the medicament is at least partially transferred from one of the chambers to another of the chambers with another component of the medicament in order to mix the components. Only once the components have been mixed is the cartridge opened for the extraction of a dose of the medicament.

Nebulizer and Container

A system includes a nebulizer for nebulizing a fluid from a container and such a container containing a fluid and are proposed. The fluid is a non-newtonian fluid, in form of a suspension or emulsion or a liposomal fluid or a gel. The nebulizer includes a fluid pump for withdrawing the fluid in doses from the container and pressurizing the respective doses for nebulization through nozzle channels having a hydraulic diameter in the range of 3 to 20 microns at an operational pressure of 5 to 250 MPa.

The flexible pouch may have a single opening or two openings. In the case of a single opening, the entire dispensing assembly is in the interior of the pouch. In the case of two openings, only the flexible dome extends to the exterior of the pouch. The outlet valve is configured so that the more pressure that is applied to the flexible fluid pouch, the more tightly the outlet valve seals.

NEBULIZER AND CARTRIDGE

A cartridge and a nebulizer for nebulizing a fluid as well as a method for fluidically connecting the cartridge to the nebulizer are proposed. The cartridge comprises a closure with a valve, wherein the valve displaces fluid into the nebulizer when opened. Further, the cartridge forms two axially spaced sealings with the nebulizer when connected.
