Device of a wearable type for dispensing a fluid, and corresponding dispensing method
A device for dispensing a fluid includes a fixed part to be worn by a user, a fluid connection including a terminal outlet, a needle coupled to the terminal outlet of the fluid connection for dispensing a fluid, and a replaceable part coupled to the fixed part via the fluid connection. The replaceable part includes a reservoir for containing the fluid to be dispensed, and a micro-pump coupled to the reservoir to send the fluid to the fixed part through the fluid connection. An actuator operates the micro-pump. The fixed part includes a pressure-sensor in proximity to the terminal outlet of the fluid connection and is associated with dispensing the fluid from the needle. An electronic control module controls operation of the micro-pump via the pressure-sensor.
Apparatus and method for dispensing or aspirating fluid
A method dispenses and/or aspirates a predetermined volume of fluid from a chamber. The chamber includes a lower portion containing fluid and an upper portion containing gas. The method includes measuring an initial pressure in the upper portion and introducing or evacuating a known quantity of gas into or out of the upper portion. The volume of gas in the upper portion is determined based on the volume of gas introduced or evacuated from the upper portion and a measured change in pressure in the upper portion. An upper portion target pressure that will dispense or aspirate a predetermined volume of fluid is determined. A controllable valve is opened while the pressure in the upper portion of the chamber is monitored. Once the target pressure is reached, the predetermined volume of fluid has been dispensed or aspirated, and the controllable valve is then closed.
Liquid dispensing system and apparatus
A liquid dispensing system and apparatus may comprise a container having a neck portion and a chamber portion, wherein the chamber portion is configured to retain a liquid and has at least one tapered portion. The system and apparatus may further comprise a base configured to secure the container and a dispensing member configured to securably mate with the neck portion and dispense liquid from the chamber portion. The base may removably secure the container or the container and the base may form one contiguous body. The dispensing member may have at least one dispenser head, at least one pump, and at least one dip tube configured to extend to the lowest point. In some embodiments, the tapered portion may be configured as an inverted hollow cone with the lowest point being the point of the cone.
Lotion application assembly
A lotion application assembly includes a fluid pump having a plunger movably coupled to an intake tube. The fluid pump is removably coupled to a lotion bottle having the intake tube being immersed in lotion contained in the lotion bottle. A plurality of sliding balls is each slidably positioned on the intake tube such that each of the sliding balls is immersed in the lotion when the fluid pump is removably coupled to the lotion bottle. Each of the sliding balls retains an amount of lotion thereon when the fluid pump is removed from the lotion bottle. In this way each of the sliding balls can deposit the lotion onto a user's skin when the intake tube is rubbed on the user's skin. A fixed ball is coupled to the intake tube thereby inhibiting the plurality of sliding balls from sliding off of the intake tube.
CONCENTRATED CLEANING POD, DISPENSER, AND RETAINING-EJECTING MECHANISM FOR DISPENSING CLEANING SOLUTION THEREFROM
A dispenser comprising a cover housing, a base at least partially defining a reservoir configured for receiving and maintaining fluid therein, and a dispensing mechanism configured for selectively dispensing fluid from the reservoir is provided. The cover housing comprises a chamber comprising a recess configured for receiving a pod at least partially therein, and a retaining-ejecting mechanism. The retaining-ejecting mechanism enables the pod to be inserted into a retained position at least partially within the recess, retained in the retained position, and released from the retained position. The cover housing is configured to be coupled to the base so as to enclose the reservoir.
Dispenser
A spray dispenser is provided, the spray dispenser comprising a container for holding a liquid to be dispensed and a dispensing assembly for extracting liquid from said container, the dispensing assembly comprising a pressure-relief valve for release of excessive pressure in the container and a filter arranged to permit egress of gas through the filter, inhibit egress of liquid from the container and to inhibit ingress of contaminants into the container through the pressure relief valve. A dispensing assembly for use is a spray dispenser is also provided.
HEAD FOR DISPENSING FLUID MATERIAL
A fluid dispenser head (T) including a spray wall (26) that is perforated with a network of holes (O) through which the fluid under pressure passes so as to be sprayed in small droplets;
the dispenser head being characterized in that the network of holes (O) comprises at least two series of holes (O), with the holes (O) of a given series presenting holes that are substantially identical in size, and with the holes (O) of different series presenting holes that are different in size, such that one series of holes (O) generates a spray of small droplets with droplet sizes that define a first Gaussian distribution, while another series of holes (O) generates a spray of small droplets with droplet sizes that define a second Gaussian distribution that is offset relative to the first Gaussian distribution, thus producing a complex spray having at least two distinct Gaussian distributions.
DELIVERY HEAD FOR A FLUID DISPENSER AND FLUID DISPENSER WITH SUCH A DELIVERY HEAD
A delivery head for a fluid dispenser for coupling to a fluid store. The delivery head has a nozzle unit with a plurality of fine nozzle openings with a maximum clear cross-section of 0.02 mm.sup.2. The protective cap is configured to encourage the fluid to remain in the nozzle openings for a long time, or to remove the fluid from the nozzle openings in a targeted fashion.
