An apparatus for preparing a cosmetic composition containing an emulsion substance formed by instant emulsification through a microfluidic channel is provided. The apparatus includes a housing defining the appearance of the apparatus and installed with a pump on one side, the pump being operated by a user; an external-phase chamber provided in the housing, and storing an external-phase fluid forming the external phase of the emulsion substance; a dispersed-phase chamber provided in the housing, and storing a dispersed-phase fluid forming the dispersed phase of the emulsion substance. The apparatus further includes a microfluidic channel providing a path for the external-phase fluid and the dispersed-phase fluid to flow for forming the emulsion substance by combining the external-phase fluid with the dispersed-phase fluid; and a tube for discharging the emulsion substance from the microfluidic channel.

Dispenser systems, dispensers, and repositories can add a fragrance to an unscented liquid beauty preparation. The dispenser system includes a dispenser having a cavity for retaining at least a first liquid, and a repository configured for removably attaching to the dispenser, the repository having a reservoir for retaining at least a second liquid. The dispenser is coupled with a pump assembly including at least one pump for drawing the at least a first liquid and the at least a second liquid into a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber is coupled with an actuator in such a manner that when the actuator is pressed down by an external force, the mixing chamber communicates with the pump to suction the first and second liquids into the mixing chamber to form a liquid mixture for dispensing through a nozzle.

A sprayer system includes a sprayer head, at least two reservoirs, and a gripping portion. The reservoirs hold constituent components of a product. The product is emitted from a nozzle included in the sprayer head. The emission of the product results in the depletion of the components of one of the reservoirs to a greater extent than the remaining at least one reservoir and changes the center of gravity of the sprayer system.

A combination air freshener and security alarm includes a housing having a touch-screen display that programs and controls a plurality of sensors, a cellular-transmission module and a fragrance-dispersal mechanism. Therefore, a user can designate which of a plurality of desired fragrances will be dispersed at select intervals. In addition, if the sensors detect any unusual noise, airborne contaminants, excessive heat or motion in the surrounding area, a distress signal is wirelessly transmitted to a remote electronic device.

A spray head for spraying a liquid mixture is provided. The spray head includes a spray reservoir configured to hold the liquid mixture, a channel configured to receive a first liquid into the spray reservoir, an internal liquid reservoir housed within the spray head, configured to hold a second liquid, and a dispenser configured to dispense the second liquid from the internal liquid reservoir to the spray reservoir. The liquid mixture is a mixture of the first liquid and the second liquid.

A container includes a reservoir holding a non-pressurized product. A metering device and valve assembly are within the reservoir. The valve assembly includes a product intake conduit and a spring biased valve stem. The valve stem is at least one of an upwardly extending conduit or reciprocating conduit, which is in fluid communication with the product intake conduit.

According to one aspect of the invention, a method for directing the use of a sprayer includes the step of directing a user to affix a sprayer to a neck of a water bottle (114) via an attachment mechanism (112). A container comprising a body portion and a neck portion, the neck portion having a pump dispenser thereon, the pump dispenser comprising a pump mechanism, a dip tube on one end of the pump mechanism, a pump outlet on another end of the pump mechanism, the dip tube extending downwardly from the pump mechanism into the body portion, the body portion containing a first liquid, the dip tube having a central bore along which the first liquid is pumped from the body portion when the pump mechanism is actuated, and a reservoir containing a second liquid, the reservoir communicating with the dip tube and adapted to introduce the second liquid into the first liquid within the pump mechanism or dip tube under the action of first liquid flowing through the dip tube.
