METHOD OF ELECTRONICALLY TRACKING PHYSICAL DEPOSITION OF COATING MATERIAL

By measuring a position of a spray gun relative to a physical surface to coat, using data on technical characteristics of the spray gun, like a spray cone the spray gun may produce and data on a coating fluid used, characteristics of a coating layer thus physically deposited may be reconstructed. With data being recording during the spray job, this is faster and more accurate than measuring layer thickness at various locations, either pre-determined or randomly. By determining flow characteristics in a spray cone and position of the spray cone relative to the surface over time and using a model of the spray cone, deposition of the layer of coating may be determined and the final layer, cured or uncured, may be reconstructed, including thickness.

A pretreatment device includes a platen, guide that guide a conveyance of the platen from a set position at which a recorded medium is set on an upper surface, a spray that sprays a pretreatment agent onto the recording medium set on an upper surface of the platen, an input portion into which is input at least one of an application range of the pretreatment agent onto the recording medium or an application amount of the pretreatment agent, a processor; and a memory storing computer-readable instructions. The computer-readable instructions also includes setting, on the basis of at least one of the application range or the application amount input into the input portion, at least one of a conveyance speed of the platen or a spray duty ratio that is a ratio of a spray time during a spray period of the pretreatment agent.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING SPRAY QUALITY

An agricultural application is provided herein that includes a nozzle assembly positioned along a boom assembly and configured to selectively dispense an agricultural product therefrom. One or more sensors can be operably coupled with the boom assembly and can be configured to capture data associated with one or more application variables. A computing system can be communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors and to a display. The computing system can be configured to receive the data associated with the one or more application variables; convert the one or more application variables to a scaled integer to determine a spray quality index; generate a geo-located application map of the scaled integer; and present the geo-located application map on the display.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING NOZZLE FLOW RATES

A method for the application of agricultural fluid to a field includes determining a location of each of a plurality of nozzles of an agricultural spraying machine. A flow rate for each of the nozzles is determined based on each respective nozzle's location in the field. A field map is used to determine a crop requirement and application restriction associated with a nozzle's location. The field map contains indications of crop requirements and application restrictions. The flow rate for a nozzle is determined by comparing the nozzle's location to the field map. A flow rate signal is transmitted to each of the nozzles based on its determined flow rate.

Methods and systems for administering agrochemicals with an agricultural sprayer are provided. In a method a ground speed of the sprayer is measured. A current volumetric air flow produced by a fan of the sprayer is determined and compared with a required volumetric airflow. Settings of the fan (such as rotational speed and blade pitch settings) are adjusted if the current and required volumetric air flows differ The required volumetric air flow of the fan is determined using the measured ground speed, a configured plant height and width and sprayer air volume delivery curves at different fan settings.
