In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a bowling lane conditioning machine. The bowling lane conditioning machine has a drive mechanism for moving the conditioning machine along a bowling lane, a fluid storage tank that stores a conditioning fluid; a dispensing assembly for dispensing the conditioning fluid about the bowling lane; and a pump for moving the conditioning fluid along a flow path between the at least one fluid storage tank and the dispensing assembly. The conditioning machine further includes contaminant sensing assembly positioned along the flow path of the conditioning fluid for detection of one or more contaminants in the conditioning fluid. Other aspects also are described.

Garden watering device

A garden watering device is configured for use in handheld and ground-based operation. The garden watering device includes a device body having a water inlet and a handle. The garden watering device also includes at least one water distribution member adapted to spray in multiple patterns. In one example, the at least one water distribution member includes an elongate tube with a series of discharge outlets and a multi-pattern head with at least one flow outlet. The garden watering device also includes a flow route selector that routes water to either the elongate tube or the multi-pattern head.

A hydraulic spray nozzle for an agricultural implement includes at least one of a bleed valve and an annular valve. The bleed valve is configured to control flow of a bleed portion of the liquid provided to the nozzle for spraying. The bleed portion can be routed back to a supply tank for later use. The bleed valve can be an annular valve. A spray valve within the nozzle can also be an annular valve.

Spray manifold with individual liquid feed spray guns

A modular spray gun manifold having a plurality of spray gun modules arranged in a lateral array each separated by an adjacent support assembly. Each spray gun module has a central liquid passage communicating with a spray nozzle and a transversely oriented liquid inlet port communicating through an outer side of the spray gun module for connection with an independently controllable liquid supply. The spray gun modules further include a recirculation port communicating between the central passageway and a recirculation conduit in an adjacent support assembly. A control valve of each module is operable when in open spraying position for blocking communication of liquid from the central passageway to the circulation port and when in a valve closing position blocking the liquid flow to the spray nozzle while redirecting liquid from the liquid inlet to the recirculation port for recirculation through the manifold array.

FIRE SPRINKLER WITH PRE-DEFLECTOR FLOW SPLITTER
20220266079 · 2022-08-25 ·

A fire protection sprinkler system and method includes a sprinkler which, in use, is operatively connected to a supply pipe. The sprinkler includes a nipple. A frame extends from the nipple. A duct passes through the nipple and frame creating a flow path for a water jet exiting the supply pipe. A deflector is mounted to the frame at a location spaced from the nipple. A splitter is disposed in the water flow path between the supply pipe and the deflector. The splitter separates the water jet into two distinct sub-jets before the water contacts the deflector. The splitter directs the two separate water streams onto the deflector so that less pressure is required resulting in more economical system smaller pipe size, less labor, etc.

Drip irrigation tube with metering elements inserted therein

A drip irrigation tube is provided with metering elements comprising respectively inlet regions, through which the water in the tube arrives in the metering elements, metering regions, formed by a labyrinth channel, which is delimited by two lateral walls, a cover and the walling of the drip irrigation tube and in which a pressure reduction of the water flowing through takes place, and outlet regions, through which the water emerges out of the drip irrigation tube via outlet openings made in the tube walling. The respective outlet region borders at least on one lateral wall, of the labyrinth channel; at least one region of this lateral wall is covered by an elastic membrane forming a portion of the cover, so that the lateral wall is able to be lifted off of the tube wall by means of the elastic membrane and forms a passage through which the water from the labyrinth channel arrives directly in the outlet region. The water flowing through the metering element can thereby be metered depending upon the water pressure in the drip irrigation tube.

An agricultural sprayer arrangement includes a chassis; a ground engaging traction member carried by the chassis; a liquid tank carried by the chassis; a boom carried by the chassis; a conduit associated with the boom in fluid communication with the liquid tank that acts as a fluid flow path; a nozzle having an inlet in fluid communication with the conduit; a first flow sensor placed upstream of the inlet in the fluid flow path that provides a first flow signal; a second flow sensor placed downstream of the inlet in the fluid flow path that provides a second flow signal; and an electrical processing circuit coupled to the first flow sensor and the second flow sensor that is configured to compare the first and second flow signals to determine a flow rate decrease and issue an alarm if the flow rate decrease is less than a predetermined threshold level.

NOZZLE FAULT DETECTION

A spray system includes nozzles spaced along a distribution line. Each nozzle actuates the position of one or more internal valves based on a spray command received from a system control module. Sensors generate position information regarding the actuation of the valves. The actual valve positions are compared to expected valve positions to determine a deviation between the two. The deviation can be compared to a threshold to determine a status of that nozzle. A normal nozzle status can be generated based on the deviation being less than the threshold. An abnormal nozzle status can be generated based on the deviation being equal to or exceeding the threshold.
