Coating device with roller and doctor blade

The objective of the present invention is to provide a coating device capable of stably coating a coating agent onto a member to be coated, while preventing the supply of excess coating agent. A coating device is provided with: a roller which rotates in one direction; a tank in which an opening is formed facing the roller and which supplies a coating agent via the opening; a doctor blade provided at the side of the opening on the rotation exit side of the roller; and a doctor blade provided at the side of the opening on the rotation entry side of the roller; wherein a gap formed between the doctor blade and the roller is larger than a gap formed between the doctor blade and the roller.

Printing system and method

There is disclosed a method of printing onto the surface of a substrate, which method comprises i) coating a donor surface with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating the substrate surface to render at least selected regions tacky, and iii) contacting the substrate surface with the donor surface to cause particles to transfer from the donor surface only to the tacky regions of the substrate surface. After printing on a substrate, the donor surface returns to the coating station where the continuity of the monolayer is restored by recovering with fresh particles the regions of the donor surface exposed by the transfer of particles to the substrate.

A method for applying a product by roller on a surface of a substrate (112) transported horizontally with respect to an application head (111, 111) is discloses. The method includes moving the application head (111, 111) immediately from a lowered position of the application head (111, 111), wherein the application roller (122, 122) applies the product in a predetermined position of the surface of the substrate, to a raised position of the application head (111, 111), wherein the application roller (122, 122) does not apply product; or vice versa. An application system using the method for applying a product by roller is also disclosed.

Pressure-fed accessories adapter for an airless spray gun

A spray gun adapter establishes fluid communication between a fluid pump of a handheld airless spray gun and an applicator accessory. The adapter comprises an adapter body, a head attached to the adapter body, and a protrusion. The adapter body comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, a radial inlet located in a sidewall of the adapter body between the upper and lower portions, and an adapter bore having a first diameter in fluid communication with the radial inlet. The head attached to the adapter body is attached at the upper portion of the adapter body. The head comprises a cavity in fluid communication with the adapter bore and having a second diameter larger than the first diameter, an adapter outlet located in the upper portion of the adapter body and in fluid communication with the cavity, and a handle extending radially from the head. The protrusion extends radially from the adapter body between the upper portion and the lower portion of the adapter body.

Glue dam seal assembly

The invention relates to a glue dam seal assembly for a glue application installation of a corrugated board plant. The glue dam seal assembly comprises a support installation and a first glue dam sealing element for tight disposal on a first roller. The first glue dam sealing element is pivotable in relation to the support installation. The glue dam seal assembly furthermore has a first urging installation for urging the first glue dam sealing element onto the first roller upon generating a first urging force acting on the first glue dam sealing element.
