The wall has a wall surface arranged to face the transfer roller when the device is in use. The wall is dimensioned so that the wall surface will be distanced from the transfer roller when the device is in use, so as to allow fluid to be present in a gap between the wall surface and the transfer roller.

The device is simple in structure and reasonable in design, effectively improves the coating uniformity, and realizes automatic production of ultrathin metal lithium strips with a thickness of 1-50 μm, thereby greatly improving work efficiency and product quality.

Efficiency of lacquer transfer can be increased as the pattern is arranged such that the main orientation direction extends other than perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the transfer roller.

To switch from one of the adhesives to new adhesive as a next carpet web passes through the coating apparatus, the controller calculates a remaining length of the carpet web that can be coated with the adhesive in the puddle of adhesive based on the volume of the puddle, so that the puddle of the adhesive coats the carpet web, and then proximate a seam to the next carpet web, the new adhesive begins to coat the next carpet web.

A system and method of scanning an environment and acquiring an image is provided. The system includes a mobile device having a camera and a first position indicator. A scanner having a light emitter and a light receiver is provided. The scanner determining coordinates of surfaces in an environment in response to emitting light with the light emitter and receiving light with the light receiver, the scanner having a second position indicator. One or more processors are provided that determine the position of the mobile computing device and transmits the data between the scanner in response to the first position indicator engaging the second position indicator.

An outside contact surface of the lateral wall includes several depressions. The transfer roller is mounted rotatably to the frame. The slit nozzle is arranged contactless to or in direct contact with the outside contact surface of the lateral wall for dispensing lacquer into respective depressions in the lateral wall while the transfer roller is rotated. The transfer roller is configured to roll with the outside contact surface on a work surface of a work piece for transferring the lacquer from the depressions to the work surface.

The liquid guide member comprises: a first transfer surface; a second transfer surface which is separated from the first transfer surface by a gap; a first channel which extends from a first inlet which is adjacent to the aperture to a first outlet which is adjacent to the first transfer surface; and a second channel which extends from a first inlet which is adjacent to the aperture to a first outlet which is adjacent to the second transfer surface, the liquid guide member being arranged such that in use the liquid will flow along the first channel from the aperture to the first transfer surface and then transfer from the first transfer surface onto the printing surface, and the liquid will flow along the second channel from the aperture to the second transfer surface and then transfer from the second transfer surface onto the printing surface as the printing surface moves relative to the apparatus.
