An apparatus for the implementation of a process for the continuous manufacturing of steel strips for packaging coated with a passivation layer is provided. An apparatus contains a transfer roller; a coating roller contacting the transfer roller, a surface of the coating roller having a plurality of hexagonally shaped cells with a line count being from 50 to 200 lines per centimeter and a volume being from 5.Math.10.sup.?6 to 10.Math.10.sup.?6 m.sup.3 per square meter of the coating roller surface; and a tank containing an aqueous passivation solution, the tank providing the aqueous passivation solution to the coating roller.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ONE TOUCH REGISTRATION OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL SCANS WITH AN AUGMENTED REALITY ENABLED MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICE
A system for using an augmented reality (AR) enabled mobile computing device for performing one-touch registration of three-dimensional (3D) scans of an environment is provided. The system includes one or more processors, a mobile computing device, and a 3D scanner being movable from a first position to a second position. The processors are responsive to executable instructions which cause the 3D scanner at the first and second positions to determine 3D coordinates of a first and second collection of points on object surfaces in the environment. In addition, the 3D scanner receives an estimated location of the mobile computing device from the mobile device in response to the 3D scanner being in contact with the mobile computing device at the first and second locations. A registration of the first collection of points and the second collection of points is based on the estimated locations of the mobile computing device.

In a method for applying adhesive to a substrate, excess adhesive that has not been applied to the substrate is disposed of.

Wearing down of a doctor blade by a filler contained in a coating solution is prevented. The doctor blade is for scraping off the coating solution, containing the filler, from a circumferential surface of a coating roller, the coating roller being for applying the coating solution to a battery member being conveyed. A surface of the doctor blade is made from an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.

Process for the manufacturing of a steel strip for packaging and associated equipment
A process for continuous manufacturing of steel strips for packaging coated with a passivation layer is provided. The layer is an aqueous passivation solution, the thickness of which is less than 3 ?m and the viscosity of which is less than 1.5.Math.10.sup.?3 Pa.Math.s at 20? C., and is deposited on one of the faces of the strip. This depositing is carried out by a transfer roller in contact with the strip and with a second coating roller, the surface of which has a plurality of hexagonally shaped cells, the line count of which is between 50 and 200 lines per centimeter, and the total volume of which is between 5.Math.10.sup.?6 and 10.Math.10.sup.?6 m.sup.3 per square meter of roller surface. The coating roller is fed with aqueous passivation solution by dipping in a tank equipped with wiping means and the strip runs at a speed greater than or equal to 400 m/m. An apparatus for implementation of the process is also provided.

A composite glue coating device and a preparation method for a fancy reflective material using the same, which relates to the technical field of reflective material production. The composite glue coating device comprises a composite glue roller (1), a glue coating roller (2), a glue sink device (3) and a glue scrapping device (4). The composite glue roller (1) and the glue coating roller (2) are arranged as a clamping roller set and a bead planting film passing interval (L) is formed between the composite glue roller (1) and the glue coating roller (2). The glue scrapping device (4) is connected with a scraper of the glue coating roller (2). A plurality of glue moving grooves (5) are evenly distributed on the glue coating roller (2). The glue coating roller (2) is connected with the glue sink device (3) and is glue immersed. The glue coating roller (2) rotates to transfer the glue (9) inside the glue sink device (3) into the glue moving grooves (5) and to coat the plating layer (13) of the bead planting film (6) with the glue (9) inside the glue moving grooves (5). The composite glue coating device can realize the batch production and the production efficiency is high. The reflective material produced has high tear resistance and comfort degree, with the fancy part being reflective and the rest as non-reflective. The reflective part has the same hand feeling with the rest substrate part, without obvious uneven feeling, and the reflective points are seamlessly connected with the substrate.
