Liquid applicator apparatus and associated method of using the same
A liquid applicator apparatus that allows for simultaneous application of a liquid to a plurality of surfaces, including: a handle member; an applicator retaining member; a first liquid applicator; a second liquid applicator; and wherein the first liquid applicator and second liquid applicator are adapted to enable a user to simultaneously apply a liquid to noncontinuous and/or nonplanar surfaces.
Method of applying adhesive to an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical compressor liner and an adhesive applicator apparatus therefor
An apparatus is provided for applying adhesive to a compressor liner having a longitudinal central axis. A first roller has a longitudinal central axis and has an outer circumferential surface which is immersed in adhesive in an adhesive sink. A second roller has a longitudinal central axis and is radially spaced apart from the first roller. The second roller has same outer diameter as the first roller and has an outer circumferential surface which is not immersed in adhesive in the adhesive sink. The first and second rollers cooperate to support the compressor liner for rotation about its longitudinal central axis. A drive mechanism includes a constant speed drive for rotating the first and second rollers about their longitudinal central axes at a constant rotational speed to allow a consistent weight and uniform layer of adhesive to be transferred from the first roller to the compressor liner.
Device for Applying a Hot-Melt to a Web of Material
The invention relates to a device for applying a hot-melt to a web of material. The device includes a driven roller and a nozzle with a nozzle channel arranged adjacent the driven roller for supplying a hot melt through the nozzle channel to the surface of the roller. The invention also relates to a combination of a device according to the invention and a web of material, which web of material is guided along the driven roller and wherein the nozzle channel exits in front of the nip of the web of material and the driven roller.
Tread-line paint applicator
A paint applicator apparatus for applying a paint line to a moving strand of a tire component comprising a paint neck and a paint head. The paint neck includes a receiving neck portion, a discharge neck portion, and a paint supply passage. The receiving neck portion extends along a receiving neck portion axis and the discharge neck portion neck portion extends along a discharge neck portion axis. The paint supply passage includes a paint inlet in the receiving neck portion and a paint outlet in the discharge neck portion. The receiving neck portion axis and the discharge neck portion axis define an obtuse angle. The discharge neck portion axis is oriented substantially parallel to the moving strand, and the receiving neck portion axis is oriented upwardly relative to the moving strand. The paint head is coupled to the discharge neck portion and includes a rotatable paint wheel for carrying paint from the paint outlet to the moving strand.
ADHESIVE DISPENSING DEVICE
A layered object manufacturing system is described. The system is one arrangement provides for the use of water based adhesives to bind successive layers of paper in generation of a three dimensional model. The paper can be provided in conventional paper sizes and is moveable within the system from a storage stack to a build object location, individual pages at a time. The system typically effects the application of adhesive onto the paper using an adhesive applicator wheel having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart recesses for receiving adhesive. The wheel is rotatable to convey adhesive filled in one or more recesses to a target substrate and to deposit controlled amounts of adhesive at discrete points thereon.

EQUIPMENT AND PROCESSES FOR THE NON-CONTACT PRINTING OF ACTIVES ONTO WEB MATERIALS AND ARTICLES
An apparatus for providing non-contact application of fluids onto web materials and articles is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a gravure roll having a hollow rotating shell having a plurality of cavities disposed within the outer surface thereof and a stationary cylindrical core having a central bore and a channel disposed therein. A fluid disposed within a respective cavity of the plurality of cavities disposed within the outer surface of the hollow rotating shell is removed from the respective cavity by the positive pressure when the positive pressure is fluidly communicated from the central bore through the channel and into the cavity from the surface of the stationary cylindrical core.

ROLLER TRANSFER APPLICATION METHOD AND APPLICATION DEVICE FOR HOT-MELT ADHESIVE
In a roller transfer application method for a hot-melt adhesive, a coater head having a slot in a direction towards an axis center of a pattern roller is provided to face a pattern surface of the pattern roller; and by supplying the hot-melt adhesive, which is supplied from a hot-melt adhesive supply device, in a thin-film state to a pattern top surface of the pattern roller, thin-film hot-melt adhesive is thus only supplied to the top surfaces of protrusions of the pattern roller. By opening an on-off-type hot-melt adhesive supply control valve, which is attached to the coater head, at a timing that an adhesive opening (the slot) on the bottom surface of the coater head faces application zones on the pattern surface of the pattern roller, the hot-melt adhesive is supplied only to the top surfaces of the pattern roller protrusions.
TREAD-LINE PAINT APPLICATOR
