MACHINE AND SYSTEM FOR COATING PRODUCTS
A method and a system for coating products are provided. The method includes the steps of applying a coating liquid to a product and removing excess coating liquid from the product. It is desirable to provide a method and system for efficiently and reliably coating delicate or easily deformable products, such as products molded from a pulp fiber slurry. The method includes fixing the product to a receiving portion of a product carrier that is configured in the same shape as the product, such that an exterior surface of the product abuts the interior concave surface of the receiving portion of the device. A coating liquid is applied to the product in the product carrier. The product carrier is affixed to a centrifuging device and the coating liquid is dispersed over the surface of the product using centripetal force.

At least partially within the breading chamber enclosure is a main conveyor and an outfeed conveyor. In a first mode of operation, the outfeed conveyor lies in the food path and receives food product from the main conveyor. The adjustable breading machine includes a drum assembly operatively disposed above the outfeed conveyor having a rotatable drum for transporting food product and coating material to the outfeed conveyor. The adjustable breading machine also includes a drum adjustment assembly for moving the drum assembly between modes of operation.

The method executes a first rotation process of setting a posture of the coating tank (25) in a standing posture in which a rotation axis of the coating tank (25) is directed in a vertical direction, rotating the drum (28A) in one direction, and rotating the disk (38A) in the other direction, and a second rotation process of setting a posture of the coating tank (25) in an inclined posture in which the rotation axis is inclined with respect to the vertical direction and rotating the drum (28A) and the disk (38A) in the one direction.
