Device For Applying A Flowable Substance To A Substrate
A device for applying a flowable substance to at least one substrate includes an applicator nozzle in the form of a slotted nozzle which has a stationary nozzle body with an inlet opening, a flow duct, and a nozzle slot, wherein the flowable substance is delivered through the applicator nozzle and passes from the inlet opening into the flow duct and from there to the nozzle slot, and is discharged through an outlet opening of the nozzle slot that is arranged in an outer region of the nozzle body, wherein the applicator nozzle further has a slide valve movable relative to the nozzle body in the longitudinal extent of the outlet opening by means of actuating means and contacts the outer region for modifying the covering of the outlet opening. The longitudinal extent of the flow duct is at least as great as the longitudinal extent of the nozzle slot.
ELECTRODE COATING DEVICE
An electrode coating device includes a die block including a first die and a second die coupled to each other, and at least one of the first die and the second die having an accommodating portion for accommodating slurry, a shim plate partially disposed along a circumference of the accommodating portion between the first die and the second die to form a discharge port through which the slurry is discharged, and an expansion plate coupled to the shim plate, wherein the shim plate includes: a first section, second sections, and a third section, wherein the expansion plate is disposed in a form expanding a width of the third section in a region corresponding to the accommodating portion.
Gas and liquid knife and control method thereof
A gas and liquid knife and a control method thereof are provided. The gas and liquid knife includes a chamber and a knife head. An ejection opening is provided at the knife head The knife head has a first knife lip and a second knife lip. The ejection opening is defined between a first inner wall of the first knife lip and a second inner wall of the second knife lip. The chamber is defined between the first wall plate and the second wall plate slidably connected with each other. The first knife lip connects to the first wall plate. The second knife lip connects to the second wall plate. The first knife lip and second knife lip moves relatively as the first wall plate and the second wall plate slides relatively, such that a minimum distance between the first inner wall and the second inner wall could be changed.
APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR APPLYING A VISCOUS MATERIAL
An apparatus (102) for applying a viscous material (162) to a surface (182) of a workpiece (180) is disclosed. The apparatus (102) comprises a channel (104) comprising an inlet (106) and an outlet (108). The channel (104) has a width CW that increases from the inlet (106) to the outlet (108). The apparatus (102) also comprises dividers (110) inside the channel (104). The channel (104) further comprises subdivisions (112) formed by the dividers (110). The subdivisions (112) of the channel (104) are in communication with the inlet (106) and the outlet (108) of the channel (104). At least one of the subdivisions (112) of the channel (104) has a width SW that increases from the inlet (106) of the channel (104) to the outlet (108) of the channel (104).
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for applying a viscous material
An apparatus for applying a viscous material to a surface of a workpiece is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a channel comprising an inlet and an outlet. The channel has a width CW that increases from the inlet to the outlet. The apparatus also comprises dividers inside the channel. The channel further comprises subdivisions formed by the dividers. The subdivisions of the channel are in communication with the inlet and the outlet of the channel. At least one of the subdivisions of the channel has a width SW that increases from the inlet of the channel to the outlet of the channel.
DEPOSITION OF SEALANT OR SIMILAR MATERIALS
An applicator for the deposition of sealant onto a surface of a workpiece is disclosed including at least one inlet for depositing sealant on to a surface or a nozzle-receiving space for receiving a nozzle comprising at least one inlet for depositing sealant on to a surface; at least one sealant-contacting surface for contacting sealant deposited onto the surface through the inlet as the applicator is moved across said surface, thereby forming a film of sealant on the surface; at least one spacer for contacting a surface onto which sealant is to be deposited and for maintaining the sealant-contacting surface in spaced relationship with the surface; the applicator being configured to facilitate the formation of films of different widths.
Slot Die Coater
A slot die coater is configured for making a coating width of a multi lane model uniform and reducing a condition adjustment loss in the subsequent production. The slot die coater includes an upper plate; a lower plate; and shims interposed between the upper plate and the lower plate and defining at least two individual lanes to form a slot. The shims defining the individual lanes include a fixing pin to improve positional precision when fixing to the upper plate or the lower plate and a fixing bolt for fixing to the upper plate or the lower plate.
Slurry distribution system and method
A slurry distributor for use in a continuous manufacturing process includes an inlet opening and a shaped duct adapted to receive a flow of slurry provided at the inlet opening. The shaped duct has a parabolic guide surface adapted to redirect the flow of slurry. An outlet opening in fluid communication with the shaped duct is adapted to discharge the flow of slurry from the slurry distributor.
Slurry distributor, system and method for using same
A slurry distribution system can include a feed conduit and a distribution conduit in fluid communication therewith. The feed conduit can include a first feed inlet and a second feed inlet disposed in spaced relationship thereto. The distribution conduit can extend generally along a longitudinal axis and include an entry portion and a distribution outlet in fluid communication therewith. The entry portion is in fluid communication with the first and second feed inlets of the feed conduit.
