A powder resin coating device and method that can make the powder surface of powder resin within a powder fluidizing bed flat without spattering The powder resin coating device includes: a powder fluidizing bed storing powder resin; a vibration mechanism connected to a bottom surface of the powder fluidizing bed; and a support member connecting the powder fluidizing bed and a fixing surface. The vibration mechanism includes: a vibration unit, and a connection mechanism connecting the vibration unit and bottom surface of the powder fluidizing bed. The support member elastically supports the powder fluidizing bed to the fixing surface and is mounted more inwards in a radial direction than an edge part of the powder fluidizing bed. The vibration unit is connected to the bottom surface via the connection mechanism so that a vibration motor rotations shaft is substantially coaxial with an axis of the powder fluidizing bed.

METHOD OF FLATTENING POWDER SURFACE AND POWDER RESIN COATING DEVICE

To provide a powder resin coating method and powder resin coating device which can maintain a powder surface as flat irrespective of changes in the average particle size of powder resin. A powder resin coating device (1) includes a powder fluidizing bed (2) storing powder resin, a vibration mechanism (5) connected to the powder fluidizing bed (2), and a control device (8) controlling the frequency of the vibration mechanism (5). The control device (8) includes an average particle size estimation unit (82) that estimates the average particle size of powder resin stored within the powder fluidizing bed (2); an optimum frequency determination unit (83) that determines an optimum frequency for causing the powder surface to flatten based on the average particle size estimated by the average particle size estimation unit (82); and a frequency control unit (84) causing the vibration mechanism (5) to vibrate at the determined optimum frequency.

Active adhesive recirculation regulation
10272464 · 2019-04-30 · ·

An applicator for dispensing adhesive is disclosed. The applicator includes a manifold, at least one dispensing module coupled to the manifold, a supply channel configured to contain at least a portion of the adhesive, a recirculation channel configured to contain at least a portion of the adhesive, and a recirculation pump assembly connected to the manifold. The recirculation pump assembly includes an inlet in fluid communication with the recirculation channel, an outlet in fluid communication with the supply channel, a gear assembly, and a drive motor coupled to the gear assembly and operable to pump the adhesive, where the drive motor is configured to operate at an adjustable number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The recirculation pump assembly can be configured to move at least a portion of the adhesive from the recirculation channel to the supply channel, such that a first pressure of the adhesive in the recirculation channel is substantially equal to a second pressure of the adhesive in the supply channel.

Fluid application system adapted to collect and reuse reclaimed fluid

A fluid application system includes a source of a fluid and a first pump for supplying the fluid under pressure to an applicator having a nozzle for dispensing the fluid. A fluid collection system collects reclaimed fluid dispensed from the applicator and a second pump provides the reclaimed fluid under pressure to a return fluid pipe. The return fluid pipe has a valve system that selectively directs the reclaimed fluid to either a reusable fluid container or the applicator. The valve system may selectively direct the reclaimed fluid from the return fluid pipe to an in-line reservoir and a third pump may be used to provide the reclaimed fluid under pressure from the in-line reservoir to the applicator.

System and method for monitoring liquid adhesive flow

A hot melt adhesive system includes an adhesive supply for receiving solid or semi-solid hot melt adhesive, and a heater associated with the adhesive supply for melting the solid or semi-solid hot melt adhesive into liquid hot melt adhesive. An adhesive tracking system monitors an output of the liquid hot melt adhesive, and includes a flow meter having a flow inlet and a flow outlet. The flow meter measures an amount of the adhesive flowing out of the flow outlet. A product detector may be used to sense a presence of a product to which the adhesive is applied. A controller then determines the total amount of the liquid adhesive dispensed and the average amount of liquid adhesive dispensed per product.

Melter for supplying liquid adhesive

A melter for processing substantially solid, free-flowing adhesive particulate and supplying liquid adhesive is described. The melter has a tank for receiving adhesive, a heating device coupled with said tank for heating and liquefying adhesive particles, at least one pump for conveying the liquid adhesive, and a filling device for filling the tank with the substantially solid, free-flowing adhesive particulate. The filling device is arranged such that adhesive particulate is fed into the tank through an inlet opening of said tank. A filling device for filling a tank of an adhesive melter with substantially solid, free-flowing adhesive particles is also described.
