The elastic part is provided with a protrusion that is fit into the inclined groove of the outer peripheral surface of the cap attachment part.
Locking member, mixing tip, and double syringe
A locking member that locks a mixing nozzle to a cartridge that includes two syringes, the mixing nozzle being configured to mix the materials from the two syringes within the nozzle as the materials are discharged. The locking member includes a support rod supported on the mixing nozzle that is displaceable in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the nozzle extends, and first and second engaging parts that engage with horizontal parts provided on the cartridge. The locking member further includes an inclined part that is inclined toward the opposite side to the nozzle, and that is provided between at least one of the first engaging part and the second engaging part, or between the second engaging part and the other end of the support rod.
APPLICATORS FOR DELIVERING GLUTINOUS SUBSTANCE TO WORKPIECE FROM END-EFFECTOR AND ASSOCIATED APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An applicator (102) for delivering a glutinous substance (168) to a workpiece (170) from an end-effector (101) is disclosed. The applicator (102) comprises a body (110) and a plunger (186). The plunger (186) comprises a gate (118), movable within an outlet portion (182) of a first channel (115) of the body (110) between, inclusively, an open position, allowing the glutinous substance (168) to flow from an inlet (116) of the first channel (115) to an outlet (117) of the first channel (115) and a closed position, preventing the glutinous substance (168) from flowing from the inlet (116) of the first channel (115) to the outlet (117) of the first channel (115). The applicator (102) further comprises an actuator (131), selectively operable to move the plunger (186) such that the gate (118) moves between, inclusively, the open position and the closed position.
Methods of removing a glutinous substance from an applicator
A method of removing a glutinous substance from an applicator comprises removing a plunger before the glutinous substance has solidified; allowing the glutinous substance to solidify inside the applicator; detaching a side cover from a base portion of a first body portion to expose a first sealant plug; severing the first sealant plug from a second sealant plug; severing the first sealant plug from a third sealant plug; detaching a tip portion of the applicator from a second body portion to expose a portion of the second sealant plug; extracting the second sealant plug from the second body portion by pulling the portion of the second sealant plug in a direction along the second body portion; separating the first sealant plug from the base portion of the first body portion; and extracting the third sealant plug from an end-effector interface of the first body portion.
SYRINGE WITH PISTON ASSEMBLY
A syringe assembly contains a fluid material, preferably two reactive fluid materials. The syringe assembly includes a syringe body having at least one barrel and a piston assembly movable within the barrel. An activatable plunger is in contact with the piston assembly effects dispensing movement of the piston assembly. The piston assembly includes an outer piston in sealed engagement with the barrel and an inner piston in sealed engagement with the outer piston. The inner piston is movable within the outer piston with and against the bias of a spring to maintain the inner piston in contact with the reactive material in the barrel upon thermal expansion and contraction of the reactive material.
DISPENSER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A DISPENSER
A dispenser includes a container, an applicator and a head part. The head part has the applicator, and is axially moveable relative to an outlet of the container. The head part includes a passage connected to the applicator in a fluid conducting manner, the passage further being connected to the container in a fluid conducting manner in an activated state of the dispenser and with no fluid communication being possible in a storage state of the dispenser. The passage extends along an outer circumferential surface of the head part, the head part having a base with a seal configured to seal with respect to the outlet of the container in the storage state of the dispenser.
CAULK TUBE REPAIR SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
A caulk, sealant, or glue tube repair system and apparatus is described. A form-fitting cap, equipped with at least one tip, is disclosed, which is configured to replace the default top and/or tip of a conventional caulk/sealant/glue tube. The apparatus facilitates the effective replacement of the top and nozzle of the tube container such that it may function as-new within a caulk gun. Via replacement of the nozzle/top of the tube container, hardened or dried contents of the container may be removed, providing for continued use of the remaining contents of the tube container. The apparatus is equipped with a nozzle, an air hole, and a tube entry point. The tube entry point is tapered such that it provides a hard seal against the tube container.
Applicators and systems for delivering a glutinous substance to a workpiece from an end-effector
An applicator (102) for delivering a glutinous substance (168) to a workpiece (170) from an end-effector (101) is disclosed. The applicator (102) comprises a body (110) and a plunger (186).
