Motorized adhesive dispensing module

A liquid compound dispensing apparatus for dispensing a controlled amount of liquid compound onto a workpiece is described. The apparatus comprises a cartridge system. The cartridge system may accept a liquid compound cartridge containing liquid compound. The apparatus also comprises a plate, having a threaded bore, positioned above the cartridge system that is movable in a first and second direction, at least one plunger attached to the plate at a first end and attached to a piston at a second end. The piston is dimensioned to move within the liquid compound cartridge to displace liquid compound when the plate is moved in the second direction. A driving mechanism moves the plate in the first and the second directions to dispense product and comprises a motor, a threaded rod disposed through the threaded bore of the plate that is driven by a driving belt attached to the motor.

A material reservoir is mounted on the handle distal and includes an inlet and an outlet. A material applicator tool is mounted on the reservoir and receives material from the reservoir outlet. A discharge mechanism includes an extendable-retractable component connected to the reservoir for discharging or reloading material. An alternative embodiment includes a lockable, compressible gas spring. Another alternative embodiment includes a rotating element driven by a reversible motor mounted on the handle assembly. The rotating element drives a discharge mechanism in a discharge direction of rotation, and reloads the reservoir in a reload direction of rotation.

Squeeze-out dispenser

A squeeze-out dispenser for a container containing compounds is disclosed. In an embodiment, the squeeze-out dispenser features two plungers which are provided with a profile along their longitudinal extensions and a drive unit for the plungers with a drive meshing with the profile of the plungers. The profile of the plungers is formed by several through-holes spaced apart from one another at a uniform interval and passing through the plungers, into which through-holes engagements of the drive engage for advancing the plungers.

A cartridge holder is capable of receiving a first type of cartridge and a second type of cartridge containing viscous material. The cartridges of the first type are different in size from the cartridges of the second type. The cartridge holder has a distal stop for receiving a dispensing end of the cartridges and a proximal receptacle for receiving a rear end of the cartridges. The receptacle is located opposite to the distal stop along a longitudinal axis of the cartridge holder and is movable along the longitudinal axis as well as spring loaded towards the distal stop. Furthermore, the receptacle is configured to contact the rear end of the first type of cartridges at a smaller distance from a rear end of the receptacle than the rear end of the second type of cartridges.
