Method and apparatus for flame spraying thermoplastic powders
The method for flame spraying thermoplastic powders provides to heat the article to be coated at a suitable working temperature and to feed the said thermoplastic powders, transported by an inert gas, a flow of compressed air and a flow of liquefied petroleum gas through respective separated discharge chambers (7, 9, 12), shaped inside a mixing device (1) of a spray gun. The thermoplastic powders are then projected, in a resulting flow (30), on the heated surface of the article to be coated, to determine the melting of the same powders at their contact with said heated surface. At least one couple of flows (31, 32) of compressed air is sprayed converging towards the resulting flow (30) flowing out of the mixing device (1), giving the resulting flow (30) a substantially flattened fan shape.

Component for plasma apparatus and method of manufacturing the same
A base material is composed of a metal or ceramics, and an aluminum nitride coating is formed on an outermost surface thereof. The aluminum nitride coating is formed by impact sintering and contains fine particles having a particle diameter of 1 m or less. A thickness of the aluminum nitride coating is no less than 10 m. A film density of the aluminum nitride coating is no less than 90% An area ratio of aluminum nitride particles whose particle boundaries are recognizable existing in a 20 m20 m unit area of the aluminum nitride coating is 0% to 90% while an area ratio of aluminum nitride particles whose particle boundaries are unrecognizable is 10% to 100%. Such a component for a plasma apparatus having the aluminum nitride coating can provide a strong resistance to plasma attack and radical attack.

Methods for treating aircraft structures
The present invention relates to methods for repairing a structural weakness in an aircraft fuselage, or preventing the advancement of a structural weakness in an aircraft fuselage. Cold spray methods such as supersonic particle deposition have been shown to positively affect structural characteristics of sheet metal and lap joints as used in fuselage construction.

COATED PARTICLES
In a coated particle, a surface of a base material particle is coated with a carbon particle. The carbon particle is produced by disposing an explosive substance with a detonation velocity of 6,300 m/sec or higher in a periphery of a raw material substance containing an aromatic compound having two or less nitro groups, and detonating the explosive substance.

Culinary Item Comprising a Rare Earth Oxide Layer
Provided is a culinary item, one surface of which is provided with a coating including at least one rare-earth oxide layer. Such a coating has the specific feature of not only having mechanical hardness and abrasion resistance comparable to those of enamels and ceramics, but also excellent intrinsic hydrophobic properties that enable the coating obtained to have a non-stick property that is comparable to that of fluorocarbon coatings and suitable for culinary applications.
Thermally sprayed protective coating for industrial and engineered fabrics
A fabric or belt and a method for forming such a fabric or belt, including a base support structure and at least one coating with the coating being applied by a thermal spray process.
