METHOD FOR QUENCH SEASONING OF IRON/STEEL COOKWARE
The method for quench seasoning multiple units of iron/steel cookware includes the steps of: preheating each cookware unit to a temperature above the smoke point of oil in an oil bath; rapidly plunging the preheated cookware units into the oil bath to completely submerge the cookware units and quickly enough to ensure the temperature of the cookware units remain above oil smoke point; controlling the temperature of the oil bath to a ensure that the temperature of the oil bath does not reach a temperature close to oil smoke point, for example, a temperature within 20 degrees below smoke point, and retrieving the cookware units from the oil bath.
Composite Coatings Having Improved UV and Paint Stripping Resistivity and Methods for Making Same
A composite structure having a co-curable or co-cured coated epoxy-based composite material coated with a co-curable epoxy-based adhesive surfacing material layer and a polyurethane-based coating material layer, along with components and large objects including the co-curable or co-cured coated epoxy-based composite structures.
CURABLE FILM-FORMING SOL-GEL COMPOSITIONS AND ANTI-GLARE COATED ARTICLES FORMED FROM THEM
Curable film-forming sol-gel compositions that are essentially free of inorganic oxide particles are provided. The compositions contain: a tetraalkoxysilane; a solvent component; and non-oxide particles, and further contain either i) a mineral acid or ii) an epoxy functional trialkoxysilane and a metal-containing catalyst. Coated articles demonstrating antiglare properties are also provided, comprising: (a) a substrate having at least one surface; and (b) a cured film-forming composition applied thereon, formed from a curable sol-gel composition comprising a silane and non-oxide particles. A method of forming an antiglare coating on a substrate is also provided. The method comprises: (a) applying a curable film-forming sol-gel composition on at least one surface of the substrate to form a coated substrate; and (b) subjecting the coated substrate to thermal conditions for a time sufficient to effect cure of the sol-gel composition and form a coated substrate with a sol-gel network layer having anti-glare properties.
Anti-corrosion coating sintered at low temperature for steel rebars and coating method
This invention discloses an anti-corrosion coating sintered at low temperature for steel rebars. The composition of coating includes 30-50 weight percent nano-silica, 20-40 weight percent flux, 9-20 weight percent calcium fluoride, 2-10 weight percent thickener, and 2-14 weight percent adhesion, agent. This invention also discloses the coating method of above-mentioned anti-corrosion coating. The method includes seven steps: 1. dry mixing, 2. wet mixing, 3. pretreatment, 4. coating, 5. baking, 6. sintering, 7. cooling down at room temperature. The coating of this invention has high strength, high density, high corrosion resistance, good capacity to bond with concrete, and maintains the mechanical properties of steel rebars.

Methods and systems for masking and racking metal pipe fittings during powder coating
Systems and methods for protecting threads of metal pipes while coating the metal pipes with a protective coating are disclosed herein. Innovative metal couplings are used to protect the threads while a protective coating is applied to the metal pipes. The couplings are reusable and result in multiple efficiency improvements over previous methods and systems. Benefits include elimination of plastic caps and reduced waste, improved flowthrough in the powder coating process, more efficient thermo transfer in the thermal chamber, and an increase in the overall capacity of the powder coating operation.
Phosphatized polyesters and coating compositions containing the same
A coating composition comprising a resinous binder and up to 10 percent by weight of a phosphatized polyester. The compositions are useful for coating containers of all sorts such as food and beverage containers, and the phosphatized polyester provides enhanced adhesion of the coating to the container substrate. The compositions can be formulated to be substantially free of bisphenol A (BPA) and bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE).

PROCESS FOR SEALING, REINFORCING AND COSMETICALLY COATING CAST OR 3-D PRINTED GYPSUM ARTICLES
A process for imparting improved toughness and durability, improving the surface appearance, and enhancing the coloration of a porous gypsum article created by 3D printing, casting or other means. The process includes the steps of first warming and drying the article; next, dipping it while warm into a bath of ultraviolet-activated liquid polyester resin at a lower temperature than the article, so the heat of the article lowers the resin's viscosity as air in the pores contracts and draws the resin in. The resin is chosen to have an index of refraction after curing as close as possible to that of pure gypsum. The resin is cured with ultraviolet light before applying a surface finishing coat to the cured resin by a second dipping into the same resin followed by curing or by spray-painting or other coating technique.
