INDUSTRIAL OVEN WITH FABRIC DUCT
An industrial oven includes an oven chamber configured to receive a plurality of work pieces. A heater box of the oven has a heating element therein operable to heat air for delivery to the oven chamber. A circulation system of the oven is operable to force hot air from the heater box into the oven chamber. The circulation system includes a delivery manifold extending from the heater box to the oven chamber. A duct has an inlet coupled with an outlet of the delivery manifold, and the duct has a plurality of hot air outlet apertures therein for expelling hot air into the oven chamber. The duct is constructed of fabric sheet and suspended within the oven chamber.
METHOD FOR STRENGTHENING A BIODEGRADABLE OR COMPOSTABLE SUBSTRATE USING ANNEALING WAX PROCESS
A method for coating an article using a wax solution for providing strength to its structure while formulating the wax so it is biodegradable and compostable after the article is spent. The method using an annealing process of rapidly cooling the wax to increase its strength to a desired hardness.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING RARE-EARTH MAGNETS, AND RARE-EARTH-COMPOUND APPLICATION DEVICE
A coating tank 1 provided with a net belt passage opening is prepared, a slurry obtained by dispersing a rare-earth-compound powder in a solvent is continuously supplied to the coating tank 1 to cause the coating tank 1 to overflow, and a plurality of sintered magnet bodies 10 are arranged on a net belt conveyor 5, continuously conveyed horizontally thereon, and passed through the slurry in the coating tank 1 via the net belt passage opening, to apply the slurry to the sintered magnet bodies. The slurry is subsequently dried to continuously apply the powder to the plurality of sintered magnet bodies. As a result, the rare-earth-compound powder can be uniformly applied to the surfaces of the sintered magnet bodies, and the application operation can be performed extremely efficiently.
Automated insulation application system and method
An automated insulation application system that includes a robotic arm and an insulation end effector coupled at a distal end of the robotic arm, the insulation end effector configured to apply insulation material to a target surface. The system can further include a computing device executing a computational planner that: generates instructions for driving the insulation end effector and robotic arm to perform at least one insulation application task that includes applying insulation material via the insulation end effector to a target surface, the generating based at least in part on obtained target surface data; and drives the end effector and robotic arm to perform the at least one insulation application task.
POROUS POLYMER COATINGS
The present invention provides porous polymer coatings having adhesive and air flow resistive properties. The porous polymer coating comprises a polymeric foam having a void fraction of greater than about 15% and an air permeability greater than 3 cubic feet per minute per square foot as measured based on ASTM D737-04, wherein the polymeric foam comprises a clay and/or pigment optionally having an aspect ratio of about 2:1, 5:1, or 10:1 to about 20:1, 50:1, or 100:1. In some embodiments, the porous polymer coating comprises a chlorinated polymer and a fluorochemical.
DEVICE
A device for lacquer transfer is disclosed having a frame, a nozzle with a dispensing end for dispensing lacquer, and a transfer roller with a circumferential lateral wall, a circumferential outer contact surface of the lateral wall comprises several depressions, wherein the nozzle and the transfer roller are arranged such that lacquer is dispensable from the dispensing end onto the outer contact surface and into the depressions, wherein the transfer roller is configured to roll with the outer contact surface on a work surface of a workpiece for transferring the lacquer from the outer contact surface and from the depressions to the work surface of the workpiece. A first hardening unit is formed as a UV-light unit configured for partially hardening the lacquer in a contactless way by emitting UV-light, the first hardening unit is arranged within an interior space defined by the transfer roller. The lateral wall of the transfer roller is transparent for UV-light, and the first hardening unit is arranged such that UV-light is emittable towards the work surface in a first operational area of the work surface to partially harden the lacquer in the first operational area.
Method for producing rare-earth magnets, and rare-earth-compound application device
A coating tank 1 provided with a net belt passage opening is prepared, a slurry obtained by dispersing a rare-earth-compound powder in a solvent is continuously supplied to the coating tank 1 to cause the coating tank 1 to overflow, and a plurality of sintered magnet bodies 10 are arranged on a net belt conveyor 5, continuously conveyed horizontally thereon, and passed through the slurry in the coating tank 1 via the net belt passage opening, to apply the slurry to the sintered magnet bodies. Automated drywall mudding system and method
An automated drywalling system for applying joint compound or plaster to drywall pieces. The system includes a robotic arm and a mudding end effector coupled at a distal end of the robotic arm, the mudding end effector configured to apply joint compound or plaster to a target surface. The system can further include a computing device executing a computational planner that: generates instructions for driving the mudding end effector and robotic arm to perform at least one mudding task that includes applying joint compound or plaster, via the mudding the end effector, to one or more joints between a plurality of drywall pieces, the generating based at least in part on obtained target surface data; and drives the end effector and robotic arm to perform the at least one mudding task.
Surface Treatment Agent, Metal Material Having Surface-Treated Coating Film and Method for Producing Same
The present invention is aimed at providing: a surface treatment agent that is capable of forming a surface-treated coating film having excellent antifouling properties; a metal material that includes a surface-treated coating film using the surface treatment agent; and a method of producing the metal material. The present invention provides a surface treatment agent containing: a silicone resin (A); a compound (B) containing a metal element selected from titanium, platinum, rhodium and palladium; and an aromatic hydrocarbon-based solvent (C). In the surface treatment agent, (I) a content of the silicone resin (A) is in a range of 90% by mass to 99.9% by mass with respect to a total solid mass of the silicone resin (A) and the compound (B), and (II) a ratio (B.sub.M/A.sub.M) of a mass (B.sub.M) of the compound (B) to a mass (A.sub.M) of the silicone resin (A) is in a range of 0.001 to 0.111.
