METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TRANSPARENT OR TRANSLUCENT VEHICLE PART
A method for manufacturing a vehicle part, including the steps of a) overmolding a semi-transparent film on a transparent or translucent part, b1) applying a paint layer on the semi-transparent film, b2) applying a varnish layer on the paint layer, and b3) partially irradiating the paint layer and the varnish layer with laser radiation so as to etch the paint layer and the varnish layer, step a) being implemented before step b1) or after step b3).
Droplet ejecting coatings
Coating compositions are provided that eject droplets of condensed fluid from a surface. The coatings include a nanostructured coating layer and in some embodiments, also include a hydrophobic layer deposited thereon. The coating materials eject droplets from the surface in the presence of non-condensing gases such as air and may be deployed under conditions of supersaturation of the condensed fluid to be ejected. A heat exchanger design utilizing the coating is described herein.
Method of treatment of outdoor equipment with a polysaccharide coating
A method of treatment of outdoor equipment for reducing ice adhesion thereon, the outdoor equipment defining a substrate on which a layer of linkers is intended to be coupled, the linkers being bi-functional and including: a first reacting group able to couple in a stable way in environmental conditions with the substrate, and a second reacting group able to generate a covalent bond stable in environmental conditions with polysaccharides, the method includes the steps of: coupling the linkers on at least an area of the equipment to obtain a layer of linkers coupled stably in environmental conditions with the substrate; and making react some polysaccharides on the layer of linkers to bind them with a covalent bond stable in environmental conditions with the second reacting group of the linkers and forming a layer of polysaccharides on the layer of linkers.
Method for manufacturing electromagnetic shielding film
A method for manufacturing an electromagnetic shielding film of reduced thickness and a simplified manufacturing process includes forming a conductive ink layer by inkjet printing, on a component to be shielded, forming an insulative ink layer on the conductive ink layer by inkjet printing, and sintering the conductive ink layer and the insulative ink layer to form an electromagnetic shielding layer and an insulative layer, thereby obtaining the electromagnetic shielding film.
ALIGNMENT FILM COMPOSITION, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
An alignment film composition includes a copolymer of a dianhydride-based compound and a diamine-based compound, and a cross-linker. The copolymer has a structure represented by Chemical Formula Ia or Chemical Formula Ib, and the cross-linker is represented by Chemical Formula IIa or Chemical Formula IIb:

High contrast surface marking using nanoparticle materials
Methods and compositions are disclosed for quickly creating durable surface marks and/or decorations on substrates including metal, glass, ceramic, porcelain, natural and engineered stone, as well as plastics, polymer composites and other organic materials with color, high resolution and high contrast using inkjet technology and laser, NIR diode or UV LED energy. The improved methods and compositions are based on established and emerging sub-micron and nanoparticle technology. Most properties of nanoparticles are size dependent and do not become apparent until the particle size has been reduced to the nanometer scale. Examples of such properties include increased specific surface area, facilitating the absorption and/or scattering of visible light and laser, NIR diode or UV LED energy and the decreased melting point of such materials when their particle size is reduced to the nanometer scale. Improved results such as smoothness and durability are obtained by using nanoparticles of silica, pigments and other materials in such marking processes.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COLORING NANOFIBROUS MATERIALS
A method for coloring a carbon nanotube (CNT) product is provided, including placing a CNT product in an electric circuit to ground the product, charging a plurality of pigment molecules with an opposite charge from the CNT product, applying a coating of the charged pigment molecules to a surface of the CNT product, and exposing the coating to a temperature sufficient to cure the coating, while allowing the coating to form a substantially conformal film on the surface of the CNT product.
PRINTING AN ADHESIVE PATTERN ON AN ANTI-FOULING SUPPORT
Process for printing an adhesive pattern on a polymer brush extending at the surface of a support (1), forming a nanometric anti-fouling layer (2), the process comprising the following steps:—placing the layer (2) in contact with a first aqueous solution (4) containing a benzophenone,—then illuminating the layer with radiation (3) at a wavelength within the absorption spectrum of benzophenone, according to the pattern and according to a surface energy.
Emblem for automobile and method of manufacturing the same
A method of manufacturing an automobile emblem is disclosed, which is for manufacturing an emblem that is to be disposed on a front surface of an automobile and represents a particular shape. A method of manufacturing an automobile emblem according to an embodiment of the invention can provide an automobile emblem that has a metallic texture and a silver luster without hindering the reception of waves for an automobile front radar.
