Structurally-colored articles and methods of making and using structurally-colored articles
Components of articles that include an optical element that imparts structural color to the component are provided. Methods of making the components including the optical element, and methods of using the components such as to make an article of manufacture are provided.
Decorative Film and Article to Which the Same is Adhered
A decorative film that exhibits visual effects such as, e.g., stereoscopic effect, luxurious feel, and the like; and can also exhibit complex flip-flop properties that have expansion, depth, fluctuation, and the like, and whereby a pattern can be made visible or invisible depending on the viewing angle. In one embodiment, the decorative film can include, in order, a base layer and, adjacent to the base layer, a brightening layer having a concavo-convex surface; or a brightening base layer including a brightening material and having a concavo-convex surface; adjacent to the brightening layer or the brightening base layer, a transparent resin layer; and, adjacent to the transparent resin layer, a semi-transparent metallic layer.
MULTICOLOR FIXTURE FINISHES
A method of applying a multi-color finish to a plumbing fixture includes depositing a first coating on the plumbing fixture; selectively applying a masking material in a graduated fashion over at least a portion of the first coating to define a gradient from a first portion of the plumbing fixture that is substantially completely covered by the masking material to a second portion of the plumbing fixture that has substantially no masking material; depositing a second coating over the masking material; and removing the masking material from the plumbing fixture such that the plumbing fixture has a surface finish including a transition region representing a gradual transition between the first coating and the second coating.
COLOR REGISTER EDGING METHOD FOR ALUMINUM ALLOY HUB
The present application provides a color register edging method for an aluminum alloy hub. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: (I) a first pretreatment and drying step, including washing, degreasing, acid pickling and passivation; (II) a body powder and paint spraying and respective curing step; (III) a second pretreatment and drying step, including washing, degreasing, acid pickling and passivation; (IV) an edging color register spraying and curing step, wherein a color register paint is squeezed onto a surface that needs color register by using an injection needle; (V) a third pretreatment and drying step, including washing, degreasing, acid pickling and passivation; and (VI) a high-gloss transparent powder spraying and curing step. The method breaks the conventional shielded protective color register process, the designed grooves can be in a full circle or partial, meanwhile, the size of the grooves can also be changed in the width.
Multicolor fixture finishes
A plumbing fixture having a multi-color appearance includes a first portion including a first finish having a first appearance and a second portion including a second portion having a second appearance that differs from the first appearance. The plumbing fixture further includes a transition region between the first portion and the second portion, wherein the appearance of the third region is graduated from the first appearance to the second appearance between a first end of the transition region adjacent the first portion and a second end of the transition region adjacent the second portion. The plumbing fixture has an ombr? appearance as a result of the graduated transition between the first portion and the second portion.
Structurally-colored articles and methods for making and using structurally-colored articles
One or more aspects of the present disclosure provide optical element transfer structures that include an optical element releasably coupled with a transfer medium and methods of making and using the optical element transfer structures. The optical element transfer structures can be used to dispose an optical element onto an article, whereby the optical element imparts a structural color to the article.
SELF-DESTRUCTIVE IRREVERSIBLE SECURITY PACKAGING FILM
An irreversibly self-destructive security packaging water soluble film and method for manufacturing the same. The water soluble packaging film is embedded with various security elements, which will get irreversibly destroyed upon final usage as the whole package along with its contents will dissolve in water. This process of self-destruction will control the duplication of the package or alteration of the product inside the package.
STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES
One or more aspects of the present disclosure are directed to bladders that incorporate a multi-layer optical film that impart a structural color to the bladder. The present disclosure is also directed to articles including the bladders having a multi-layer optical film, and methods for making articles and bladders having a multi-layer optical film.
STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES
One or more aspects of the present disclosure are directed to components having an optical element that imparts structural color to the component or article. The present disclosure is also directed to articles of manufacture including the component having an optical element, and methods for making components and articles having an optical element that imparts structural color.
