Methods for preparing coating compositions for protecting oilfield operational components
Coating compositions for coating an oilfield operational component, and related methods, may include in some aspects a coating composition having a trifunctional silane, a silanol, and a filler. The coating composition may be applied to a surface of the oilfield operational component that is configured to be exposed to a fluid. The coating composition may be applied to at least partially cover or coat the surface. The coating composition may be configured to chemically bond with a cured primer composition that includes an epoxy.
MULTI PART ASSEMBLY THAT SIMPLIFIES THE APPLICATION OF PRIMER SOLVENTS AND PLASTIC BONDING CEMENTS AND/OR AGENTS TO PLASTIC AND/OR PVC PIPING
The present invention is a system and method facilitating the application of PVC primer or PVC cement to the inner surfaces of PVC unions, PVC sleeves, and the outer surfaces of PVC pipes. The invention consists of a PVC primer or PVC cement reservoir, a method of filing the PVC reservoir, and forcing the PVC primer or PVC cement through a series of tubes and holes in the apparatus and into a foam applicator which transfers the PVC primer or PVC cement onto the inner surface or onto the outer surface of a PVC union, PVC sleeve, or PVC pipe to a predetermined depth thus reducing waste of the PVC primer or PVC cement. The foam applicator housing contains a foam applicator specifically for applying PVC primer or PVC cement to either the inner surface of a PCV union, PVC sleeve, or to the outer surface of a PVC pipe giving a uniform application of PVC primer or PVC cement.
COATING, INJECTION NEEDLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A non-stick, durable, and long-serving coating in an inner surface of a tube that transports adhesive, a material of the coating includes polysiloxane. The polysiloxane includes a first monomer unit and a second monomer unit. The first monomer unit is at least one group selected from the group consisting of —O—Si—(R.sub.1)(R.sub.2)(R.sub.3), Si—(R.sub.1)(R.sub.2)(—O—).sub.2, and Si—(R.sub.1)(—O—).sub.3, the R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 being independently selected from the group consisting of substituted alkyl and unsubstituted alkyl. The second monomer unit includes Si(—O—).sub.4. An injection needle and a method for manufacturing the coating on an injection needle is also provided.
APPLYING CORROSION INHIBITOR WITHIN TUBULARS
A central tubular defines a central flow passage and spray nozzles along an outer circumference of the central tubular. A first brush pig supports a first end of the central tubular. A second brush pig supports a second end of the tubular. An inflatable balloon is at the second end of the tubular. The inflatable balloon is encircled by the second brush pig. The inflatable balloon is configured to cause a first pressure drop across the balloon when in an inflated state and cause a second pressure drop, less than the first pressure drop, across the balloon when in a deflated state. A flow control system is at the first end of the tubular and is configured to regulate fluid exchange with the tubular and fluid exchange with the inflatable balloon.
GROUTING MATERIAL DELIVERY AND APPLICATION SYSTEM
A grouting material delivery and application system for coating the exterior of a collapsed liner with an even distribution of grouting material prior to insertion into a damaged conduit. The apparatus includes a wetout funnel for receiving grouting material to evenly coat the exterior of the liner. The wetout funnel includes opposite walls forming a v-shape with a slot at the bottom of the v-shape and a squeegee disposed at the slot for controlling the coating of grouting material for a uniform covering on the liner as it passes through the wetout funnel. A first ejector pipe having an inflow end and an outflow end for receiving and dispensing grouting material to coat one half of the exterior of the liner. A second ejector pipe having an inflow end and an outflow end for receiving and dispensing grouting material to coat the opposite half of the exterior of the liner.
MASKING MEMBER, AND METHOD FOR COATING PIPE INNER CIRCUMFERENTIAL SURFACE USING SAME
A masking member used to coat a pipe inner circumferential surface of a vent stringer, wherein the masking member comprises: a sponge for blocking a pipe internal space of the vent stringer, the sponge having an outer circumferential surface capable of contacting the pipe inner circumferential surface; and a support member for supporting the sponge.
