AGING RESISTANCE COATING FILM FOR HUB AND METHOD FOR FORMING PROTECTIVE FILM

Disclosed herein is an aging resistance coating film for a hub, sequentially comprising an aluminum alloy matrix, a silane conversion film, a high-gloss organic resin coating, a periodic variable alloy black chromium coating film and a transparent resin coating. In the coating film, the thickness of the black chromium coating film is increased and the blackness thereof is adjusted according to different content of C. The residual stress of the deposited metal layer is reduced, the problem of cracking during heating and rapid cooling of the coating film is solved, and the binding force between the coating film and the underlying high-gloss resin material is improved. Also disclosed herein is a method for forming an aging resistance coating film for a hub, comprising: (1) silane pretreatment, (2) spraying of high-gloss medium powder, (3) PVD coating, and (4) spraying of transparent powder.

Method of coating a cast alloy wheel providing a two-tone appearance

A cast wheel having an alloy substrate includes a primary surface and a secondary surface. A first polymeric coating is applied to the primary surface and to the secondary surface sealing the cast alloy wheel within the first polymeric coating. An intermediate polymeric coating is applied over the first polymeric coating. The intermediate polymeric coating is coated with metal using physical vapor deposition with the metal being aesthetically distinguishable from the first polymeric coating. A third polymeric coating is applied over the metal. The third polymeric coating, the intermediate coating and the metal from the primary surface of the cast alloy wheel are removed aesthetically distinguishing the primary surface from the secondary surface. A fourth polymeric coating is applied over the primary surface and the secondary surface.

METHODS FOR COATING SUBSTRATES AND MULTILAYER COATED SUBSTRATES

A method for applying a multilayer coating comprising a basecoat and a clearcoat is disclosed. The basecoat is a curable aqueous composition comprising (1) polymeric particles containing carboxylic acid functionality and prepared from ethylenically unsaturated compounds including a multi-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and (2) a polycarbodiimide. Also provided is a multilayer coated substrate.

PRE-COATED METAL STEEL SHEET FOR HOME APPLIANCES AND REFRIGERATORS INCLUDING THE SAME

A PCM steel sheet for a home appliance and a refrigerator including the same. The PCM steel sheet may include a steel sheet, a basecoat layer provided on the steel sheet, a hairline layer formed on the basecoat layer, a clearcoat layer provided on the hairline layer, and a primer layer between the steel sheet and the basecoat layer to provide adhesion. The PCM steel sheet for a home appliance does not include a metal mesh layer. The PCM steel sheet for a home appliance may have a brightness (flop index) of about 20 or more.

Decorative Film and Article to Which the Same is Adhered

A decorative film that exhibits visual effects such as, e.g., stereoscopic effect, luxurious feel, and the like; and can also exhibit complex flip-flop properties that have expansion, depth, fluctuation, and the like, and whereby a pattern can be made visible or invisible depending on the viewing angle. In one embodiment, the decorative film can include, in order, a base layer and, adjacent to the base layer, a brightening layer having a concavo-convex surface; or a brightening base layer including a brightening material and having a concavo-convex surface; adjacent to the brightening layer or the brightening base layer, a transparent resin layer; and, adjacent to the transparent resin layer, a semi-transparent metallic layer.
