Embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatuses for controlling an operation of a vibrational output system and/or an operation of an input sensor system, wherein the controller is for use in a device comprising the vibrational output system and the input sensor system. A controller comprises an input configured to receive an indication of activation or de-activation of an output of the vibrational output system; and an adjustment module configured to adjust the operation of the vibrational output system and/or the operation of the input sensor system based on the indication to reduce an interference expected to be caused by the output of the vibrational output system on the input sensory system.

A device and a method for switchable vibration modal ultrasonic are provided. The structure design of the ultrasonic motor, the magnetostrictive materials and the drive coil combination of different functions are configured so that, without changing the condition of components, the ultrasonic can switch mode, namely the longitudinal vibration, torsional vibration, and longitudinal and torsional vibration in three different vibration modes. During the operation of the device, different vibration modes are excited without changing the parts, which meets the machining requirements of different vibration forms. Meanwhile, the operation is more convenient and faster, and the overall design structure of the device ensures the efficient and safe operation of the device.

A device and a method for switchable vibration modal ultrasonic are provided. PHASED ARRAY EMAT TRANSDUCER FOR GENERATION OF SHEAR HORIZONTAL WAVES
A system for non-destructive inspection that generates Shear Horizontal waves in phased array configuration using an Electro Magnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT). The system includes an EMAT transducer with a plurality of elements made of individually wound elements under a single magnetic field, and an instrument to pulse, receive and record the signals from each element separately. Each wired element in the array generates shear waves perpendicularly to the coil windings which radiate around the elements' long axis. By phasing the pulsing and receiving of the individual elements, the beam can be electronically focused at different angles in the component from 0° to +/−90°. The compact distribution of the array permit using relatively high frequencies without generating deleterious grating lobes.
Vibration control device
A vibration control device is provided which enables an awakening effect for a user to be increased while making it difficult to give discomfort to the user. A harmonic signal generating section of a vibration control device is configured to successively output a plurality of alternating signals for driving a vibration unit. The processing device is configured to determine a vibration pattern according to the interaction event and the simulated object, and control the haptic feedback circuit to induce the haptic feedback according to the vibration pattern.
