A basestation is provided that includes a controller operatively coupled to a basestation wireless transceiver. Via wireless communication between the wireless transceivers of the mobile agent and the basestation, an action to be implemented by the mobile agent can be determined by the basestation and communicated to the mobile agent, whereupon the microcontroller of the mobile agent controls detailed movement of the mobile agent on the drivable surface based on images taken of the markings of the drivable surface by the imaging system to cause the mobile agent to implement the action on the drivable surface.

The charging segment may include a primary coil, a sense circuit operable to detect the presence of the vehicle based on a change in the detected impedance of the primary coil, and a power control unit operable to provide a time-varying current to the primary coil when the vehicle traverses the charging segment. The primary coil is positioned adjacent a track upper surface. The vehicle drive motor may be operable at first and second speed settings, and a remote control device can provide operating instructions to the vehicle wireless communications unit.

The moving system manufactured as a linear induction motor including a stator made as PCB with printed coils on it and all moving objects having permanent magnets, as a rotor and in such case at any given time only 2 sections of the entire connectable loop track are under temporary power which rolls over to the next section as the moving objects pass through.

Projecting parts 100, 100 and recessed parts 101, 101 capable of mating with the projecting parts 100 are provided clockwise around the four sides of a block 1. A step part 16 is formed on the upper face of the block 1, and a magnetic plate 2 is set into this step part 16. A track can be created using a plurality of blocks 1 of this sort. In addition, blocks 6 comprising curved magnetic plates 24 and the like can be used to create a three-dimensional track that can be traveled in three dimensions.
