Access solution for conveyor systems
The invention relates to a method for determining an access right to an entity of a conveyor system, wherein it is: received data comprising data representing an identity of a wireless key and data representing a location of the wireless key; detected that the wireless key resides in a predefined location; identified the conveyor system and the entity on a basis of data representing the predefined location; determined status of an identified conveyor system; determined an access right with the wireless key to the entity; and generated a control signal to cause one of the following: (i) a grant of an access to the entity, (ii) a refusal of an access to the entity. The invention also relates to a network node, a computer program product and to a conveyor system.
ROLLER SHOE AND SLAT SORTER CONVEYOR
A roller shoe slat sorter conveyor system includes a conveyor forming an upwardly facing support surface. The support surface includes slots oriented transversely to the conveying direction and a plurality of roller shoe assemblies mounted for sliding movement along respective slots for transversely discharging objects from a medial position to either side of the conveying surface. Each roller shoe assembly includes a releasably mounted carrier disposed below the conveying surface. The releasable connection enables the roller shoe to detach from the carrier, and be manually reattached. The elongated roller shoe features downward slanting ends and includes a plurality of roller wheels extending above the surface of the shoe mounted to axles movable in a vertical axis whereby an article resting on the rollers of a shoe depresses the rollers so they contact the slat surface and move an article resting thereon at twice the speed of the shoe.
Correlating information to facilitate automated sortation
The present application discloses a system, a method, and a computer system for correlating information to facilitate automated sortation. The method includes (i) receiving, by one or more processors, a first optical sensor data comprising a first element of routing data required to route an item but not a second element of routing data required, in addition to the first element, to route the item, (ii) obtaining the second element of routing data from a second optical sensor data, and (iii) causing the item to be routed based at least in part on the first element of routing data and the second element of routing data.
INSTALLATION FOR SORTING ARTICLES WITH A SORTING CONVEYOR HAVING PIVOTALLY MOUNTED FLAPS
The invention relates to a sorting conveyor having pivotally mounted flaps for sorting articles into sorting outlets as a function of a sorting indication affixed to each of the articles. The conveyor includes a monitoring and control unit designed to cause each flap to pivot between a closed position in which the flap forms a conveyor portion suitable for conveying an article in a certain conveying direction and an open position in which the flap interrupts conveying of an article on the conveyor to deflect it towards an appropriate sorting outlet. The monitoring and control unit is also arranged to retrieve thickness data from a memory giving a certain thickness for the article to be deflected, and to respond by causing the flap to pivot into an open position through a certain opening amplitude determined as a function of the thickness data about the article that is to be deflected.
Sorting device with adjacent terminals
Sorting device comprising several sorting carts, which can be moved along a sorting track in a transport direction and in each case are provided with a load receiving device for controlled receipt and delivery of individually packaged goods, with a quantity of discharge points at which individually packaged goods can be specifically delivered according to a respective sorting destination from the sorting carts, wherein each discharge point has a width, wherein the width of at least some discharge points can be adjusted while the sorting device is operating, and method for sorting individually packaged goods using the device.
FULLY VALIDATED MATERIAL HANDLING WITH SHUTTLE CONTAINER DELIVERY SYSTEM
A material handling system reduces or eliminates human interaction with articles sorted and deposited into an order container to maintain validation and integrity of the order. Validated articles are inducted onto a sortation conveyor that selectively dispenses or deposits each article at a destination into a container. A shuttle vehicle moves along a first side of row of such containers to replace an empty container in place of any container that holds a completed order and moves the latter onto a transport conveyor.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC SORTATION OF OBJECTS
An automated shuttle sorter is disclosed that includes a carriage that is movable from a load position at which the carriage may be loaded, and at least two destination locations into which any contents of the carriage may be provided from the carriage
Material handling apparatus with vehicle track for reducing vehicle damage
A method and apparatus are provided for delivering items to a plurality of storage locations is provided. The system includes a plurality of storage locations. The storage locations may be positioned to provide an aisle and a plurality of delivery vehicles may be operable within the aisle to deliver items to the storage locations. The system may include a track that the guides the vehicles to the storage locations. A reorientation assembly may be provided for re-orienting the vehicles relative to the track to reduce misalignment between the vehicles and the track.
GARMENT SORTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention relates to a garment sorting system and method for sorting garments arranged on garment carriers. The system comprises a first transporting conveyor arrangement (5) arranged to receive a garment carrier from a pairing station which transports the garment carriers to an identification and sorting arrangement on a second conveyor arrangement comprising an identification device arranged to identify a garment carrier from an identification code for further sorting. For each garment carrier, a sorting rail address is requested by the identification and sorting arrangement from a garment identification database. The identified garment carrier is transported to a plurality of sorting rails, where the second transporting conveyor arrangement comprises a sorting interface for each sorting rail such that the identified garment carrier is moved from the second transporting conveyor arrangement to the correct sorting rail by operation of the corresponding sorting interface.
