Methods and systems for sorting and imaging insects
The present embodiments of the invention generally relate to methods for sorting and imaging insects, including egg and larval life stages, useful for automated high throughput bioassays.
COLOR SORTING METHOD FOR SMALL-GRAIN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS COMBINING AREA SCANNING PHOTOELECTRIC CHARACTERISTIC AND LINE SCANNING PHOTOELECTRIC CHARACTERISTIC
A color sorting method for small-grain agricultural products combining an area scanning photoelectric characteristic and a line scanning photoelectric characteristic is provided. The present invention obtains an area scan image of small-grain agricultural product materials on a conveyor belt by using an area scan camera, which can accurately extract area array features of the materials and realize accurate identification of the unqualified materials. At the same time, the present invention can provide key parameters for accurate positioning during free falling of the materials while identifying the unqualified materials by using the area scan image, and can cooperate with the line scan positioning camera and the pneumatic nozzle to achieve high-speed elimination of the unqualified materials.
Systems and methods for sorting of seeds
A system for categorizing seeds of plants into hybrid and non-hybrid categories. Seeds sorted according to the disclosed system are also disclosed.
Adaptive Sorting for Particle Analyzers
A cell sorting system that automatically generates a sorting strategy based on examples of target events provided by an operator. The target events can be selected using measurements ranging from traditional flow cytometry measurements to derived measurements that are computationally expensive to complex measurements such as images.
SELECTOR MACHINE
Selector machine comprising an optical detection system provided with an emitter device and with an optical sensor adapted to detect a product to be selected. The emitter device comprises three IR sources, each of which emits electromagnetic radiations in a corresponding spectral band in the infrared spectrum. An electronic control unit alternately turns on the IR sources in corresponding separate time intervals, and the optical sensor detects, in each time interval, corresponding reflected radiations coming from the product. In addition, the electronic control unit comprises a processing module, which is provided with three chromatic channels of a RGB color space in order to associate the measurement signals corresponding to each IR source with a corresponding chromatic channel so as to compose a false color synthesis image of the product.
Non-destructive assay for soybean seeds using near infrared analysis
Disclosed are methods and systems for spectral imaging of soybean samples to accurately and non-destructively measure the amount of sucrosyl-oligosaccharide in the soybean samples. Populations containing modified and unmodified soybean seeds and having varying amounts of sucrosyl-oligosaccharides, oil or protein can be sorted and separated and further used in soybean processing or breeding.
Small Object Sorting System And Method
An automated object sorting system is provided. In various embodiments, the automated object sorting system includes an automated object extraction assembly and an automated object collection assembly. The automated object extraction assembly extracts one or more objects from an object sorting tray based on one or more attributes and/or traits of interest. The automated collection assembly selectively deposits the extracted objects in selected collection receptacles according to the particular attributes and/or traits of each respective object.
OPTICAL SORTER
An optical sorter includes optical sorting units adapted to sort materials by quality. A first optical sorting unit sorts the materials by quality and transfers a fraction of the materials discharged from a defectives discharge unit in the first optical sorting unit to a second optical sorting unit. A second optical sorting unit sorts the materials by quality and transfers a fraction of the materials discharged from a defectives discharge unit in the second optical sorting unit to a third optical sorting unit, which sorts the materials transferred from the second optical sorting unit by quality. The optical sorter allows a fraction of the materials to be transferred to the third optical sorting unit and sorted therein, the materials to be sorted being among the materials sorted by quality in the first optical sorting unit and being discharged from the defectives discharge unit of the first optical sorting unit.
Devices and methods for pasteurizing and/or sterilizing particulate material, and cartridge
A devices (10) and method for pasteurizing and/or sterilizing particulate material. The device contain at least one electron source (20) for generating an electron beam and a treatment zone (19) in which the material is pasteurized and/or sterilized by the electron beam. The device (10) comprises a vibration surface (11) which vibrates to convey and individualize the material. The first vibration surface (11) has a plurality of grooves (12) into which the material is conveyed and individualized. The device (10) has a material channel (21) in which the material is pasteurized and/or sterilized by the electron beam in the region of the treatment zone (19). The device (10) has at least one auxiliary channel (22) through which a fluid flows, between the electron source (20) and the material channel (21), and is separated from the material channel (21). A cartridge (24) for pasteurizing and/or sterilizing particulate material is also disclosed.
